its nothing like the novel. If the novel that this is based one is badass, bloody, brutal and manly, then the adaptation is nothing more than a comedy gag show that roughly follows the novels plot, but characters dont even act like the ones in the novel.

Sooo usually my complaint about these types of stories are that the battles are way too drawn out with too much pointless monologue. This on the other hand is the opposite. Everything is kinda just thrown at you without much explanation making things confusing. Granted it’s not a hard story to understand overall but there are words and concepts used without any explanation. Like the chapter I just read kept going on about a “double war ring”. Wtf is a double war ring?? Unless that’s some common knowledge and I’m living under a rock I dunno.
Overall this has potential but right now it’s kinda all over the place making it hard to get into. I’ll keep reading and maybe try reading the novel because I’m sure it goes into more detail.
