I didn’t expect much when I started this but it was surprisingly cute.
There isn’t much of a conflict & everything sort of works out without challenge or complications, but it’s a really short work, so it didn’t have enough room for complications & either way, it’s fine the way it is!
I also really liked the extra~ so adorable!

Niwa and Shiina's relationship is very sweet and develops at a steady pace. It's lovely how Niwa falls in love with Shiina but doesn't try to impose his feelings on him, and lets Shiina decide whether he wants to reciprocate or not. A BIG plus for Shiina's anxiety not going away entirely after a "ganbatte", too! And, personally, I'm OK with Sagawa not getting more time—his character is in the story exactly as long as it should be, and doesn't need a sappy come-to-Jesus moment (you could argue that Niwa's response does snap some sense into him).

The extra story was also OK, but it felt like something was missing. I think it's because the first half of it seems like it'll have a sad ending, then it suddenly veers into a happy one. Hiriji's mom was great, though!
