Similar to Peerless alchemist but without so much romantic drama to it, both stories are quite good.
The story so far is the classic revenge cultivation setting, MC is a female which is less common and there is nothing particularly original about it but at least it's done well and events mostly makes sense for a change. As for the MC, she a well disposed person with a "don't screw with me" personality, other than her the rest chars have little to show thus far. Art and drawing style are very good and the pace so far is good to.
Overall, a good cultivation series that gets more things right than wrong and I will be following in the future.
Edit: unfortunately the story enters the Lord Hell arc and it becomes literally unreadable, I've waiting patiently for it to move forward but 20 chapters in and there is no progress at all, I'm tired of reading of the ridiculous Stockholm syndrome of the now lame MC, the story was interesting because the MC was proactive and didn't take sh*t from anyone, and that was thrown out of the window. May pick it up again later, or not.
Edit: Gets better again later, it ain't great but it's an entertaining manhua

Tbh, I zoomed through chapter 1-165 in one night. It's nothing you would take seriously and I'm sure the actual novel is a better read. It's true that the story is all over the place, but I keep hoping it'll get better. The plot itself has no structure and it's quite sloppy. I think the issue lies with converting a whole novel into a comic. We're introduced to so many characters, but they never come back. There's only a handful that you remember.
What grabbed my attention is the art...it's better than a lot of other manhuas out there. These days, you can tell a lot of them have gaudy art; it's hard to explain. It's just extra 2D with unrealistic faces. Pick up any Chinese manhuas and compare it to something like True Beauty (korean manhwa is on a different level). Now THAT's beautiful artwork that deserves a medal.
I can't quite understand how this manhua is ranked highly on multiple reading website, and I'll probably never know.

The plot gets as lost as some of the supporting cast does

The issues with the plot occur basically from chapter one, where you are given the basic premise (rebirth, talk with the previous soul, pick up some regrets that the previous owner left the world with, etc, all in the first chapter), but you don't get a tremendous amount of backstory to it. While backstory being limited makes it quicker to the action, you kinda need to address the timeframe that the MC was originally from. For the longest time it was hard to tell if it was modern time to the past, or if it was similar time frames but different places.
The story gets no more solidified later. There will be characters picked at random that survive to be heard from at a future time, whereas others will come and go basically on a whim. Having not read the novel prior to picking up the first 200 or so chapters of the manhua, i don't know if it's simply a bad job of taking the original concept and moving it to the new format, or if the author simply didn't really plan out the storyline before devoting their time pushing through the content. It's not that i think it's worthwhile to spend a lot of time on the backstory or personalities of other characters in the story, but the storyline is basically dropped onto the reader, then the character is added to the MC's pose, and then you don't really get much more detail other than the 20-25 panel original story to understand that character, so when they disappear sometimes you just don't care and other times you are wondering what that character was about and what the heck happened to them. So when arcs of content happen, i guess i just wish we had more details about the supporting cast that is involved with each arc, and then occasional involvement thereafter, rather than just writing more plot advancement characters in to keep the story going and then disposing of them.
I've read about 20-25 of these types of stories, and this was simply mid pack for me. I've read far worse, but also far better.

Another adaptation that can't be followed, instead of getting some exposition to the world, characters and the story we are thrown into a random ass encounters and pages on pages of useless dialogue. There's little to no explanation on what's going on and why the characters are doing what they are doing. Art is mediocre at best.
