I don't really bring out reviews or comments of stories I read but I didn't think I'd get this attached to Fujimaru-sensei's stories so I just wanted to share a little.
After binge reading this author's works like the connected Autumn Lights series and Battlefield series which also lead me to this one along with At Least, Like That Snow... , I just couldn't get them out of my mind. I also noticed that while most of his h-related connecting series are sad but hopeful due to their conclusions, the non-h he's put out can really hurt your heart despite how it ended.
My heart was screaming the whole time reading these non-h oneshots especially in this story.

I wished hard that the MC would do more. He found out that most of the maids there have been forced into a prostitution ring by the head butler and Chiyoko have been sold off somewhere while her heart is broken. Sure the MC did change for the better a little bit but at the expense of someone else's happiness just like Shiroyama in Snow.
