Description
Twenty-nine-year-old Kiichi Sakuraba is totally burnt out. After his best friend, who he vowed to remain single with, gets married, Kiichi is done with romance in general.
On his way back from his friend's wedding, he gets blackout drunk at one of his usual haunts. When he comes to, the handsome twenty-year-old university student Nao Kijima is right there waiting for him! Thanks to this encounter, Kiichi comes to an agreement with Nao that they will meet once a week for a therapeutic hug session. Could something more spring from this arrangement…?

It starts with some cliches (in love with straight best friend who is getting married to a woman) but manages to pull through with a fresh and enjoyable story.
Unlike BLs which introduce a gimmick that's forgotten by chapter 2, this story has hugging and comforting between the main pair throughout. It's lovely, cathartic, and heartwarming.

BLs can suffer from a tonal dissonance when they introduce extremely heavy backstories into an otherwise light-hearted plot so it's surprising to see this strike the perfect balance in that regard. And rather than casting a villain in the backstory, it has a person who is hurtful through his foolishness, how refreshing!
