Description
Kosaka is an average girl, but one day she happens to see Tomine being bullied. Afterward, she witnesses a strange creature emerge from Tomine, and Tomine only gives Kosaka a cryptic answer when she asks what the creature is. Despite Tomine saying that Kosaka shouldn't get involved, Kosaka ends up helping Tomine.

A manga about girls & creatures/monsters/bugs. The volume consists of 2 stories (End of century blue & Insectoid Summer). First story is more complex & longer. It involves 2 girls, their life in school & a monster connected to one girl that could bring the end of the world. It's beautifully rendered in blue ink which was one of the first things that attracted me to it. Second story is an unsual love story between a bug & a girl.
It's the mangaka's first published work & thankfully it is available in English via Manga-Planet. The artwork really appeals to me. The character design brings to mind ARAWI Keiichi (Nichijou's creator) which I'm very fond of. It shows in the artwork how much the creator enjoys drawing manga. He loves rendering the urban surroundings that the characters are living in with painstaking detail & doesn't use CGI or retouch actual photos to do so.
I hope he continues to release works. I love his thematology & he shows some real potential. I've looked through his pixiv account; he has loads of interesting drawings as well as many manga. Some of the manga he has uploaded there have no words. Monsters, bugs, urban surroundings, nature & girls is what he's mainly interested in drawing.
