I was just really uncomfortable with the way the father treated his child. He was overwhelmed with life and basically took it out on his kid. Then instead of a growth and redemption arc where he learns to be a better father and manage his emotions, the seme just takes on some of his responsibilities so he's less overwhelmed and doesn't have as many outbursts. At the end, he's still insecure, he still has a fragile ego, he still finds fault in others when he should be looking inward instead. I feel bad for the seme who has to calm him down and reassure him and cover for his bad parenting every time.

lays on the drama a little thick but it's a cute fun story about two broken people finding each other that aren't high schoolers so that's a big plus.
