Entertaining read!

Love the simple but loving art style and the focus on emotion and interaction between the characters rather than quick, meaningless smut!
I found the manga cute, it has likable characters... it has some cute and some quite dramatic and heartwarming scenes as well as bittersweetness...

The only thing is that the 2nd volume is no read story anymore, it's a collection of very very short oneshots, like unrelated tidbits from their lives. I don't like that as much as if it were an actual solid continuation, however, of course this is much better than nothing!

You can tell this is one of her older ones. The story is cute, but not developed to the point of her later works. I agree with a previous poster about the description only covering the beginning. This is true. The main story focuses on different characters. The characters are cute and simple. They are uncomplicated, and this leads to and story that is also simple and uncomplicated. it's a good story for light reading, but I prefer her later stories that are more involved and have more complex character development. If you like cute couples you will like this one. The art is good, as expected from this mangaka. It is a good read.

These two tankobons are worth the purchase. They are thought-provoking and subtly touching.

The way Yoshinaga's simple drawings focus on the emotions and movements of the main characters is the very definition of understated beauty and power. I love her signature style of repeating frames and only changing the character's face or pose slightly. The simple change between frames creates unbelievable and touching significance.

The relationship between Kobayashi and Toyo (Giant) and then Mr. Ida and his partner, Hashizume, are touching. They are full of angst, humour and real-life situations. To me, their stories were more of realistic gay men, than the BL/Yaoi fantasy.

Each volume has memorable scenes. In volume one, Kobayashi's lovable personality mixed with his determination come to a head when he demands that Giant, 'Decide!' And a particularly touching scene in volume two was when Mr. Ida and Hashizume were discussing dying in the moment they were in. *Weepy eyed.*

A story with a wonderful range of human emotions.

What a DUMB description of this story! That only covers the first chapter and NOTHING ELSE! Ugh! Anyway, the rest of the story was very good. Soft, and cute, just like the usual with this mangaka.
Chapter two was more about the teacher and the person he actually loves, chapter three was about the student finding a new love in his friends brother. Chapter four was that friends brothers side of the story and chapter five finishes that tale of the two of them.

If that all made sense. Point is, that horrible description only talks about one, of the stories of all that entangled love.

Volume 2 is a bunch of short stories about all the characters from the first volume.
