Not Yuri, In Case You're Wondering
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Although there is a glorious kiss that lasts like four pages at the very end.

Seemed like this one was just about to start getting good, and then it ended! sad

GL as a subplot? lol, this is a slow burning GL about a girl learning more about herself and falling in love with a person and not an idea of love. I wish there was a continuation, more of both girls and a happy ending where they get happy together, but this ends right when it starts. I don't care for hetero romance or sex scenes but those parts didn't bother me at all, it just added to the realism and building of characters.

The characters and storyline stood out as very real to me, maybe except for Yukari's boyfriend. Yukari's perspective was really apt as teenage girl, she was dramatic and slightly immature and I really appreciate that. I just felt really refreshed reading this, I really felt like this all was very plausible, especially the ending. Very unlike the typical unrealistic and mediocre stories that flood this genre.

Very good. The main protagonist feelings for another told very well, so touching.
I love its ending

where she decided to leave the relation between them as friendship, eventhough she's not a kind-of good girl, but we could get that she loved/liked her so much, so she decide to leave it as it is

Better than expected

So far, this is one of the very few GL that I didn't get bored reading. Mainly because it's not fanservicey, in a moe style, nor takes place in an all girls school. Not only that, the story and developing relationship is realistic. The only thing I didn't like is the ending. It felt rather abrupt, as if the author had a 5th chapter to tie up the story but had to end the series earlier than expected.

Very short, but very good

I like the mangaka's art, its cute while being semi-realistic. The story though short got me invested in the characters quick and things didn't feel rushed or glossed over. I thought it was a pretty focused story. It captured the innocence of one of the girls, the rebelliousness of the other, and the loneliness of both of them. Also unlike some shoujo-ai and some yuri manga I wasn't bored. The story was always advancing and was not drawn out plus it didn't take place at an all-girls academy, so it felt a little more realistic. My only real complaint is that I wish there was more and not necessarily more shoujo-ai, but more about how their friendship grows. Because I thought that had a pretty good start and was done pretty well. I would like to have seen where the author could have taken it. So yeah, more!

not a complaint, mind you, just an observation. But this scene
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the whole kissing of the mars status
is quite similar to the one in Mars. I felt the need to comment, that's all bigrazz

ETA: Okay so having finished it, I have to say it was kinda of adorable. But then it ended and I now I want more biggrin

the only shoujo-ai i can bear to read
even if i'm a boy and usualy can't get the reason behind Yuri-themed manga success
but this one made feel what the character felt and even made me jealous of the girl (not as a boy)
yeah friendship is the greatest and purest feeling and can surpass love for the opposite sex
