One of the best, but definitely not for everyone.

Wrote one of my longest reviews dedicated to Tsugumomo. It's a really, really superb manga but WOW is it not something just anyone should read. AMAZING action, FANTASTIC art, a really strong plot, lovable characters, but then there's the fanservice. I am not complaining about the fanservice, but if you DO complain about fanservice, don't read this. Every body type under the sun from thin to healthy and mature to very young is on display here and often in sexual situations or put through sexual acts. This is the most perverted manga I've read without being porn and without being "thinly veiled porn". It's phenomenal on a lot of levels, but really, step back if this isn't your thing; it probably won't change your mind.

Interesting

The manga was a great read , it kinda turned borderline H during the mid-later chapters which some would find ( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o) , but it had too much " underage " sexual content during the early chapters.
From what I have read in the manga , it gave me an impression of it being a " Borderline H , Action " manga but with a decent plot and character development . The Mc is kinda stupid but isnt a wimp like those harem protagonists , well , he is one but has personality and grows. The other characters also have a bit of personality in them and are funny somewhat .there's also too much fingering going on and I guess the Mc's goal is like those in shonen manga ( get strong and achieve stuff ) , the interacting between each characters is kinda like a " love dodecahedron " currently.

Overall its a great read , 69 % fappable , decent comedy , great artwork and style , and decent goal for the Mc

If any series can be called ecchi...

This is a top notch series in terms of art. The story tends to focus on mystery, ecchi and action.

The fighting is like a magical version Green Lantern style combat. The enemies tend to be related to Japanese folklore and gods abound in the story. Perversion levels matches To Love-Ru at times (maybe even exceeds it a bit). Both combat and fanservice intensifies as the story progresses. (Volume 6 is my favorite.)
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Actually, judging by the raws, this may qualify as a harem.
If you dislike loli then stay away from this.

Oh man this is a very fun series. It reminds me of Kannagi a bit but different, you'll like the female and male leads love the interaction between the two and the way she treats him will make you laugh.

Anyways good series very well drawn, surprisingly good action scenes and there's even nude shots in pretty much every chapter heh. Hope someone scanlates this fun series soon.

Surprising change of direction!

Been quite a while since I wrote a review or even made a comment here, but man, the complete 180 this series did deserves some attention and was shockingly unexpected. You can make comparison to what To Love-RU did in the end and TLR-Darkness later built on and expanded. I remember reading the first 15 chapters ages ago, it was your typical cliched action comedy, with school life, supernatural elements and some light ecchi moments thrown in the mix. Got bored and dropped due to those reasons. Then, a couple of weeks ago while I was browsing through mangas to read, I rediscovered this and decided to give it a new chance seeing some additional 50 chapters where out. And somewhere along the way, it transformed into a full blown smutty borderline H manga, with nudity and heavy petting that stops just short of actual sex.

No, I'm not complaining, the story is still meh, but at least it has something going for it compared to all the similar manga that tries to tell the same story that's been told a thousand times before, and usually fail horribly at. And lets not fool ourselves, smut, nudity and sex sells, cliched crap doesn't. Want a mind blowing story that sets your brain on fire, or heart-achingly good romance, a comedy that has you laughing constantly, then this manga isn't what you're looking for. But if you want a somewhat cliched supernatural action manga, with harem elements, underdeveloped romance parts, and some heavy ecchi, lots and lots of nudity, then by all means, do give this a try. It's far being a masterpiece, but take it for what it is, a very service heavy manga that doesn't require much thought and sometimes delivers a few funny scenes here and there.

Guess the author god fed up (or was forced to write a story which was far from what he actually wanted to do from the start by his editors, which seems to be quite common unfortunately) on doing some cliched shit that's been done to death, and decided to to a complete makeover, delving into borderline H and mature themes.

Extremely blunt but Great manga

Ive starting reading this a few times but never really got past the first 3 chapters but finally when i did i saw the Awesomeness i was missing lol. Im mainly talking about the action though, although the concept of spirit wielding is not new, i really like their Obi weapon and how many different creations they can do and how versatile it is; especially after the "Ascension." The story is getting better as it goes and action wise (when it happens) its Really really great. Now for the other 60 percent of it lol, the Ecchi part of it... This has so much ecchi its ridiculous and it definitely deserves its "Borderline H" category in this page. I dont really mind Ecchi and the comedy behind it is great but they do go pretty far with it sometimes lol; i still dont really mind but im not really into all the "lolis" and there is a lot of that. Plus i didnt expect the actions and words regarding the ecchi situations to be so blunt but then again you gotta respect it for not beating around the bush like most others do. Any way my only real problem with this is that i mainly like the main story about the exorcist stuff and the main story is really slow paced and is constantly interrupted by the comedy and ecchi moments so yea if it could focus on that some more that would be great. Anyway as long as your cool with lots of ecchi this one is worth it and shouldn't disappoint action and ecchi wise

Just to add a recent update this manga (around chapter 70), its getting way more awesome. The current arc is getting really serious and the action and art is so damn awesome. I forgot to talk about the art previously but the art is really great and detailed and the action (which i know i keep going to lol) is great. The best thing about the action or fight (is the art of course) but also the really versatile ways they use there weapons especially the main "obi" one. They make that into one of the most bad ass weapons to have. i really want this to get an anime but i dont know if they will allow it with the amount of ecchi it has, they would have to lower it a large degree or something lol. I wouldnt care really if they did lower it a bit cause the ecchi moments are sometimes good (when there not lolis) and there funny but the other comedy, story, art and action are the main draw of this manga to me.

Finally, I have been patiently awaiting scanlations from day one this was released on Web Comic High. The aforementioned comment said it perfect, this is in fact reminiscent of Kannagi; however, that doesn't mean it's a clone, it's quite original.

I especially love how protective Kiriha is of Shirou (despite being labeled her "property"). Anyway, give it a shot.

Fun & entertaining if you could look past some of its antics

Story-
'a boy found a mysterious being that will eventually give him the ability to fight with other mysterious being' you get the idea especially if you have read other manga that is similar to this which. but really, its the humor and the characters that what makes this so lovable. The progression was ok too, from MC accepting his power, given a hero task, doing fillers that actually plays a role later on, and heading to main plot with several twist in the recent chapters. This gives me off the similar feeling i had when i read ushio and tora and with that i can already tell i will have a good read with this

Art-
The art was on the above average side when i 1st started reading it and probably it will improve as time goes which it did but not too abrupt. You will notice a feel thing amiss (anatomy is off, body portion looks weird). with that being said i was thinking the art was just 'meh' but somehow they managed to pull off beautiful art during battle sequence (goddess battle), i was amazed since i never imagined i'd find that kind of art in this manga.

Final Notes
the interaction of MC with the cast was entertaining and full of fan service (in fact the author wanted to include 1 fan service in every chapter) but it may not sit well with some as it has nude loli in it, selfcest. But in all honesty, this is rated 'mature' so this kind of elements is to be expected. and so if you are not bothered with such do give it a try, especially if you love fan service in your manga with awesome battle scenes and decent story progression

Art is unique. (Although the characters look a bit alike)
Judging from the first few chapters, it has potential in the storyplot.
The action is well balanced with minor ecchi-ness.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
its a bit draggy in the first volume, however it get interesting from 2nd volume onwards.

Overall, a nice action manga to read.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Protagonist get stronger only in battles, instead of his training. (This happens often in other action manga) But, it just keep me reading on. Also at the end of volume 3 there is more unknown character introduced. maybe this mystery keeps me reading :)
