Most stories are good but it's pretty hard to keep track of all the characters and their relationships unless you read it all in one go.

I love the concepts even if sometimes it's a bit confusing

I love the concept of this manga. The author didn't waste any side-character to just become a side character. She used the side character from one story as the main character on the next story. It creates a universe. This concept reminds me to an Indonesian novel series by Ilana Tan. The series has similar concepts too.

The thing that is lacking is, the universe is too big (28 chapters and 6 volume is quite a lot for a collection of one shot stories in my opinion), and the character introduction is just too fast. After the first volume, I couldn't really remember each character's connections with another. I don't remember in which story did this character showed up previously, or what connection did he/she has with the previous story.

Absolutely love the concept of interconnecting oneshots! You definitely need to read the whole thing in one go to remember who everyone is though because they will mention a name or show a previous character randomly. Everything was nicely tied at the end and all the stories were so sweet - guess that's why it's named Sugars lol

Like for real!

Communication, plot developments, characters being straight and forward with their inner feelings/thoughts (a.k.a. you don't drag stuff), this is definitely my PEAK reading mangas from Yamamori Mika!

And characters are connected by one way or another is nice too. (Just that it's really small, localised, and tight-knitted the Japanese society depicted in mangas in general, especially shoujo.)

I love this manga so much! Every single chapters are sweet, but sometimes bittersweet, nah, still sweet. Teehee. The characters are developed enough, I love how characters are linked in one another chapter. Actually, my favorite is Sweet Escape chapter, but others are so great too!

1. The stories aren't cliche. Not every girl gets the guy she wants. But each of them at least learns something important. These aren't just silly, shallow romance. But the stories aren't angsty either-- they are very sweet.

2. The art is pretty and the guys, omg the guys-- most of them are so super duper beautiful! They look so elegant and classy. Their faces are beautiful and captive me. I love how the mangaka draws the guys' eyes and noses.

The girl from the 2nd story reminds me of Kimi ni Todoke's Yano... Anyway, not a huge fan of the female charas here, but they aren't awful either. Most are the boring girl-next-door type (of course not the Yano one)

They're nothing particularly unique, for sure. But, it's still enjoyable. The characters (on a general scale) are never grating, and the stories are fresh enough to be interesting. I've always had a soft spot for collections like this. I love theme-related oneshots. And this one even has overlapping characters. smile

Nothing revolutionary, but likeable nonetheless.
