Short but good

Surprisingly good for only 10 pages. Although we don't get very deep into anything--what the characters' histories are, what their personalities are like--we learn just enough that the gaps don't bother you too much when it's over. The concept was nothing new--a shinigami comes to visit a dying man (there's at least a dozen or so mangas out there with the same premise)--but what I liked about this one was that the shinigami actually gets to remain etherial and supernatural, rather than using his ghostly status as a conveinient plot device to turn him into a hot superhero boyfriend. Well, it was short after all. The plot twist at the end was very nice--made an emotional impact--it made the whole story for me.

It was good, it was sad, it was a little quick, but I liked it nonetheless. The last one got me thinking who the other shinigami I is and if he had anything to do with the truck accident or other stories.

How embarrassing. Heh. It's 100% Miyamoto Kano. She always had a talent to touch me, to move my feelings, I'm not sure why exactly, but that's how it is with Kano works. Probably because of the strong storyline and closeness to the real life as well as high drawing skills. If you are Kano's fan, you'll be more than pleased. The Visitor is rather sad but nice work. Very well done, recommended.

Lovely art. Stories felt a bit lacking. I mean, they're oneshots, so what did I expect, right? But I felt like they could have been tied together a bit more so there could be more development of interest between the shinigami and the eventual love interest, or whatever. It just felt sort of random and shallow. =(

Short but well done is the best way to describe this.
It's very sad and the art is quite good.
I'd quite like to read a sequel and find out if his love really was unrequited and how the beloved deals with it.
