had potential

Overall it was an alright manga, I don't particularly think it has good art, character or plot but it is a good time killer

the art gives false impression of it being innocuous but it touches a lot of from topics

The premise of the plot started off pretty well, it delivered the age old message of "becareful what you wish for" pretty well, personally I think each of the story is too short and leaves little impact and forgetable, the characters weren't remarkable and the ending was felt rushed in my opinion.

You might all say that the necromancer made so many people sad. But infact he only granted his client desires, even when he knew it wasn't for their own good. The people that came to him already made up their mind about what the wanted to do, and it's their responsibility to bear the cost that comes from feeling happiness once again.

Great story, controversial ending

Something felt off, while I understand the motivation of the necromancer being the necromancer, there should have been more of a penalty or more chara development that could make the reader forgive

the necromancer's cruelty and amoral decisions. Like someone said this would have had more reasonable with a tragic ending.
Why does he get to live happily ever after after making so many people miserable?

Somehow I feel cheated...

I rather liked this series at the beginning. At first it didn't capture my attention, but I kept on reading and started to enjoy it, but the ending left me feeling somehow cheated. I like stories that remain episodic with no overarching plot just as much as I like series that develop from episodic stories to story arcs. I feel that this would have been better if it had been continued on in an episodic form rather than having that mini-arc at the end. No doubt the author planned that all along (it was too well done for the author not to have, and if they did...well, then I'm impressed), but it felt too good. The ending, taken at face value, was happy, even if it was told in a slightly melancholy way and I would have preferred for it to have had something of a tragic ending. Overall, a good series, but it felt like the author planned it just a little too well, and having it continue in an episodic nature for a few more volumes wouldn't have hurt.

Just READ IT!

This story is great, combining interesting short tales with one overarching plot that is very sweet in a very haunting way that is amazing! I really enjoyed the story all around, its characters and plot and just about everything of this amazing short work.

Plot- The first half is very episodic and the latter half becomes less so as it delves into the 'real' plot, both halves I found very enjoyable. It was interesting to see the characters that were introduced and the stories touched some very interesting subjects about human nature and human emotions. While not overly deep it did make me think, and I found many stories to be quite touching. The second half was just as great, fleshing out the main character, Asutsou, in such a great way that made me love him even more then I already did! A very interesting twists on necromancy as well.

Characters- Loved them. Period. Asutsou is just wonderful, a real anti-hero who I couldn't help but love! The detective was endearing as well, as were the rest of the host of characters. Everything was very well done as far as characters and their development is concerned.

Art- Some might not like the kidish or simple feel it may give off, I personally thought the art was very nice and liked it. Even if the style used isn't a favorite, it still portrays the story well and can be overlooked and still enjoyed.

Other- READ IT! Just read it, it's a very nice work and it's not too long either so just read it!

8/10- Was Good

To be honest, the first time i saw the first chapter.. the arts is really not my style. I like the dark ambience and dark story it gives every single chapter.... and after more than 4 chapters, i got addicted on this manga. As the story starts to develop more interesting. The heavy burdened of becoming a necromancer and that's atsutsuo alone bear it.

This is a pretty awesome story. I like these kind of magical dudes the best. other magicians and sorcerers and demon boys have nothing on a necromancer like this in my book. Only this kind though. The "BEHOLD MY UNDEAD ARMIES!" kind are sorta boring and dull.

It is probably going to be extremely entertaining figuring out his motives as... er..everything unfolds or whatever.

I enjoy the classification~ and as for the immediate body-to-bones thing... I think of it as just a necromancer thing.

Slightly Addicting... Moar...?

I'm really liking this one! The art is a lot different than what I've seen before, a little like Shinyaku Ookami ga Kuru, and it definitely is what got me to read it. Although there are only 4 chapters out now, I can definitely say it's worth a read.

I do agree with Shakaku and the fact that it reminds me of Yumekui Kenbun (which is my favorite one of all time and you should look it up!!). It has a very similar eerie feel to it, despite the difference in the art style.

I'm really looking forward to learning more about Asutsuo and his back story.

The only thing that bugs me is the whole 'body-to-bones' thing. I don't get how the bodies revert to skeletons so quickly!! Anyone have some randomly helpful information on that...?

I agree with Shakaku when i read this it reminded me of xxxHolic. The art's cute and i think the story has some real potential.

I love how at the end of chapter one when Rikka and Angela meet the necromancer again he explains how the desire is amplifyed and how she's a monpolizer.Like a moral or lesson at the end of each story.
I give a 9 right now.

It's like Yumekui Kenbun and xxxHolic. It's about a shop that sells a special service (resurrection of humans), and like most of these types of mangas, they scream the message "careful what you wish for". Cute art, and slightly morbid themes. Like most of these types of stories, it emphasizes both the best and worst of human tendencies and relates them to old folktales, legends, and myths that some of the readers may have already heard of.

Overall, this manga is a nice read if you want something short and entertaining.
