Surprisingly good!

I agree with the comment below that the teacher/student plot can go wrong in many ways; but Switch handles it very well. You will not find over-the-top professions of love, here, but you will see a love that is immaculately modest and grounded in reality. The characters, with their tender emotions, are believable, and even with lacking the so-called "love scenes," this manga is much more profound and effectual than others of its kind. The art is simple and adds to the appeal of the story.

A Useful Comment for Future Readers

Point 1: Do not get dismayed by Hirota sensei's appearance on the cover (I know I did). He hella looks better on the pages of the manga. He is, in fact, a certified hottie.

Point 2: Do not get discourage by the other comments which depicts that the ending isn't enough. Personally, I also want a better conclusion but the manga is by far one of the most enjoyable manga that I have ever read that I hardly felt disappointment in the end. If anything, I think what I felt was greed because I seriously want to read more!

Point 3: If you want kissing/fondling (or any intimate) action, you won't get anything from here BUT even the littlest hint of romance in this manga is heart warming. smile

I really love it. I have this thing for student-teacher manga but this one is exceptional.

My only complain is that it's too short, nevertheless the characters came out well-drawn. It comprises of only 2 volumes yet it managed to convey me a lot of emotions unlike other shoujo which might be lengthier but lacking in substance.

Others complained that there were very few "love scenes" and it's true but I prefer the subtle and sweet way they interacted to the unbelievable and mostly ridiculous scenes from other shoujo. So if you prefer over the top romantic scenes, this one is definitely not for you.

This was a very steady moving manga, oh and in TeacherStudent pairings, usually the student would be 16 and the teacher is around 20-23 > .> moreover, I prefer this manga over some others because in TeacherStudent pairings, I really prefer no smut over smut ;)

But for some reason, this manga didnt really give me a chance to read it all, since reading the first few pages of it I got bored, and I didn't the drawings. Drawings are very important to me (hah) or I could just spend my life reading FanFiction. But more so, reading it all through, this is a very steady manga and the love between the Teacher and the student was all "strong", you get me, ne?

So I think this manga deserves a 6 because the plot good and it's very appealing, just not to me, (heh). ;)

Finally! The first shoujo I've read without feeling a need to roll my eyes at the end of each page. I like it how the reader doesn't really know what goes on 'behind the scenes' between Kei and Hirota- the love scenes (if they are actually love scenes) are done quite subtly, leaving the focus on the story and characters themselves rather than the genre. An simple but interesting romance.

One of the sweetest and most addicting manga...

One of the sweetest and most addicting manga I've read. The story is kinda "laid back" but intense and once you start reading, you'll be really hooked.

Age differences aside, this is a treasure that you must read. Unlike many manga, this one doesn't tread into angst or melodrama. It's definitely recommended for those who dislike angst and overdramatic stories.

Not what I expected...

At first I thought this would be the typical studentxteacher, but surprisingly it's actually different. The plot wasn't cliched and the main character was actually likable. Also the slow feel felt very realistic. However, after reading it for awhile, I expected something more. The story was short and I thought that the plot could've expanded more. Also, I thought the characters could've been given more background and more plot. The main girl also could've been given a plot twist or something, since I had this feeling she was becoming more obsessive. But oh well...it was nice while it lasted.

This is probably the only teacher-student manga that I like. If you'll looking for full-blown romance, then you'll looking at the wrong manga. Kudos to the author for giving a different, and perhaps a more realistic, perspective on the relationship between a teacher and his student. Like other commenters have said, the characters are grounded in reality, yet their feelings for one another is pure and modest.

This manga is slow and the relationship between the characters is characterised by restraint. Don't expect the two to get it on in the classroom or his office, or anywhere else. A lot of their physical interactions are left to the imagination and interpretation of the reader.

Nonetheless, I highly recommend this to anyone who is into shoujo or romance, just to give you a different perspective on the all-to-common teacher-student relationship.

this manga is a bit slow & maybe even a little boring, but it's not bad. it's definitely one of the better student/teacher mangas out there, maybe being *slightly* more realistic.

Great plot: student and teacher relationship with not too much drama.
Art: not bad, although sometimes dark but it seems to be more from the scans.
Development of the story: could have been better, the relationship developed nicely but either it needed at least an extra volume to give it conclusion....the way it was left was too open.
