This series was cool while the tricks made sense, but lately, it seems like the author is on crack or something.

The story was good while it was just about AT gangs fighting each other to get better parts/regalia/to the tower. However as it progressed it just got worse. It was unique enough that if it had just stuck with the tricks and battles it would have been in my top 10. However the government plot/sky regalia/super powers that started popping up as the story went on just made it ridiculous,

It started very good. Awesome art, cool characters, interesting idea. I never think that they create such a cool manga about Air trek. But from around chapter 16x I started going downhill. They really should put supernatural and even fantasy to this manga genres. There are already so much futuristic stuff but they can still try to stick it with air trek and physic explanation the plot makes the story not understandable and the nudity seems annoying.

The mangaka repeated his problem in Tenjou Tenge, it's good when it's still an ordinary story or more correctly a sport manga. But then he develop it to a ridiculous suppernatural and save-the-world manga it's really really bad...

Update: Eventually, they added Supernatural and Harem genres to this series, how the hell this air trek manga has developed...

i think its Air Gear is awesome, i mean sure it may be to futuristic but who cares, no one wants realistic stuff, which u can experience ur self if u wanted that stuff but we dont. and i do not think its hard to understand what is going on. I mean OH GREAT does a good job in the explanation and the Art is quite detailed and magnificent, u just have to read it carefully and you should be able to get what is goign on unless ur like a kid 10 years and younger, unlikely so ya i think its a great manga to pick up if u have not already and start reading it cause its great.

Okay seriously I read the comments about this getting weird and stupid and thought meh, just one persons opinion I'll give it a read... Seriously if your reading comments like I was take this advice AVOID THIS SERIES FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SANITY!

It simply doesn't even try to make any sense anymore, it starts off decently with some pretty good characters but at this point in the manga (chapter 238) NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE! In just the last 80 chapters it's gone from a slightly positive futuristic skating manga into something completely different, Around when the 'gravity' children are introduced is when it starts going downhill, heck in just the last 10 chapters theres a new character introduced... It's President Obama... and he changes bodys with a middle school girl... I couldn't make up something that fucked up if I tried.

In conclusion... AVOID AVOID AVOID!

As other have stated before me, this series is just like Tenjou Tenge, a strong start with everything set on a course for greatness but after roughly 15 vol. the captain decided to steer the ship into a iceberg. Apparently the author thought that quadrupling the amount of characters, abandoning earths physics and raising the number of subplots to the power of 3 was a good idea. Well guess what, it was NOT

This manga is awesome the story maybe is mega weird but still that may change or even the author want to mess with the mind of the reader still air gear is great ;D

It seams later mangaka loses mind or something and starts to draw things like on high. Bassicly its better at begining, it's like with Tenjo Tenge.

A lot of people are hating on it but this manga is awesome imo. It's funny as hell, has random ecchiness and the "air trek" stuff is something i've never seen done before.
This is the funniest part i've read so far, roflmfao for a while.
