I love this manga!! I find both Nanas impressive in their own way, Hachi is strong in character when she's needed as a friend and Nana Oosaki is just downright awesome and real. The artwork is addictive and everything about the story seems like it could have been a true story since its not like a typical overly-dramatic shoujo, its more toned down and easier to relate to. A must read for all girls!!

I started reading this manga on the recommendation of a friend, and I have to say it's pretty good and quite realistic unlike the happy fluffy shoujos you normally see kicking around
but one thing: I want to punch Komatsu Nana in the face. she just... argh. annoys me to heck.

First of all, I read lot of people describe this manga as shoujo, no it's not. Shoujo is the kind with the fairy love tales that live happily ever after which Nana isn't. Nana deals with real life struggles in love and life in general, ups and downs, all kind of realistic things. Thats why I love NANA so much, well Yazawa's works in general.
Plus all that the art is gorgeous and the characters are beautiful.

This manga didnt really catch my attention at first. The moment i read the summary i thought it would be a yuri manga so i didnt even bother reading the 1st chapter. but good gracious lord i really regretted why havent i bothered reading it before. it seemed like i missed a part of my life for ignoring this manga for such a long time. (lol)
ONE OF THE BEST MANGA IVE EVER READ!!!
one can even relate to this manga. it seemed that it covers all the types of love you would ever find in this world. True love, Romantic love, Puppy love, Familial love, Platonic love, erotic love and many more. That's why i love this manga. It shows so many aspects of life and you can really see that each person is very unique in his/her own way.
Plotline: Very unique one. This is the first time ive read a manga that deals with two women having the same name. Although you will easily see at first that both are way different from each other but as the story goes on, you will see that they're just like ordinary people who dont want anything but to love and be loved in return.
Character Design: Oh very very excellent. I really find the drawings so good. My favourite shoujo is nana (the singer) and the shounen would be ren (he's hot!) lol
Love Progress: Very excellent and unexpected. Everytime i flip through pages, it always leave me so much cliffhanges on what's about to happen next. The love pairing between Nana (the singer) and Ren is what i love the most. Their love is just so great! It makes me still believe that long distance relationship is still possible in this day and age. And for the other Nana (aka Hachi). I kinda find hers a little bit draggy. Although her love story is like "finding a true love", it just makes me not to follow her story after all.
Recommendation: If you like stories that has life-lessons and dramas in life, here's a manga for you to look at

Well this is undoubtably one of the best shojo manga out there. I've been following since Vol. 1. However, the story is getting alittle bit BORing after vol 15 i would say. Yazawa needs to step it up on the next release in August. I'm still hoping that hachi and Nobu will get back together sometime in the near future. just maybe...
