You would think an inside look into how the Future Foundation works and how they try to reestablish the world would be an interesting read.

That is not this story.

This story is about a guy who kills serial killers despite being one himself thanks to some trauma from his childhood. The MC is well written and surprises at every turn but he's the only note worthy character that really carries the story. While the rest of the cast has their quirks, they all fall short of having some sort of depth that the DR series is known and loved for.

The plot would have been great had it *NOT* just been a shounen romp and instead had more depth to it. Insight as to what Monaca does when the FF has her on their radar. More depth for the DR3 anime characters who really needed the screen time (Gozu ;___ and most importantly how the Despairs operate and how they are dealt with.

The reason I am VERY disappointed with this piece in particular is because, Kodaka or someone else who worked on the anime stated that this manga would lead into and flesh out characters from the anime.

None of this is in this manga and instead we get some nonsense that falls apart really hard especially during the final arc and with no explanation as to how a certain character shows up in like chapter 7/8 (Although I can hazard a guess).

Overall; this barely adds to the world of DR and even worse, doesn't contribute to the anime much . aside from a few cameos.
