These stories are all quintessentially BL in the sense that they're kinda ridiculous plotwise and don't have a lot of substance, but at the same time it's obvious the mangaka was also having fun with all the typical tropes and devices she could only draw in a silly, mindless BL setting. The self-awareness is apparent, which acts as the base for humour to emerge. The whole manga does have its cheesy moments but they weren't too overbearing, and there are parts that are actually pretty cute even. Kanata is my favourite boi without a doubt; he's a true little seducer while still being the cutest and most innocent.
