From Nagareboshi Manga & Manga Abyss:

Ogasawara Aki is the reclusive, idealistic composer of the popular band Crude Play. Discontented with his life and with no drive to succeed, he meets Riko, the 16-year-old grocer's daughter in a band consisting of her childhood friends, and asks her to be his girlfriend on a whim. Riko, young and innocent, agrees immediately, but worries about her new boyfriend, whom she suspects has just broken up with a woman he cared very much for.

I prefer the first half of the manga tho, can't put it down, but the ending is way too long and dramatic

Literally hated the series...I tried keeping up with it but seriously the girl is annoying, super annoying. I kept reading thinking "oh maybe she will be considerate and stop being a whiny a*s" but no and instead of actually asking aki about stuff she literally shuns him tells him no and runs into the arms of shinya like ughh what! ..stopped at chapter 30ish (was really hoping she would stop being so dumb) Instead of actually loving your boyfriend and being considerate of him she literally does everything he hates there was really no progress in the relationship and whatnot but seriously..i dont like this manga........

We literally need a tag for this bullshit. Fucking shoujo girls are denser than harem protagonists. From square one everybody is trying to fuck you. Likely not because of you, but because they wanted to spray their testosterone-driven superiority complexes all over the rest of the male cast.

It's pathetic. I can't read this bullshit at all. The girl is so easily lead that I find it hard to believe that she didn't get lured into a windowless van with the promise of candy ages ago.

Gave me FEELS

Once again, Aoki Kotomi, has authored a work that is so angsty and delicious. It's so good! Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu was great. If you read it, toward the end of Boku, Aoki starts to incorporate other narrators into her story. She made the multiple perspectives more frequently in this work, and I LOVE IT! It's like getting the same beautiful view from different angles, each with its own charm and reveals some different details. Oh Shinya, fear not, because I feel you! I wish manga would use multiple narrators or an omnipresent narrator more often.s

With shoujo, once you have read enough works, nothing will ever be completely fresh again. Music mangas have been done time and again: Nana, Nodame Cantabile, but the thing that sets Kanojo a part is Aoki Kotomi's brand of angst. If you have any of her previous works, you know what I mean. While Nana has slice of life-y mature feels, Nodame Cantabile is silly and comedic, Kanojo is all about the youthful and dramatic angst. The kind that is unique to inexperienced teenagers, which is funny because the leading men in this manga are 25s. hahaha.

I always adore Aoki's male protagonists. They are always so devoted to their love interests. Aki is no exception. He starts out in love with another girl but fell in love with our heroine. A weak point of the series is that his change from being heartbroken to falling in love with Mush wasn't well portrayed. It gives a "when did THAT happen?" kind of feeling. With the first few chapters making his love to Mari a big deal, I thought it would take a lot more for him to get over her. Oh well, Aoki's strong point is always about the men BEING in love, so I'll forgive some shortcomings.

With a scandalous title such as Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru, it was only able to sustain the theme of him lying to her for the first few volumes, which were seriously awesome. After that, this almost feels like Boku no Hatsukoi 2.0 with Aki being so in love with Mush. Well, I still love it anyway. This was made for my taste!

This is one of those stories in which the relationship dynamics are not developed enough for many to comment on due to the translation speed. Whatever the signs of a love triangle it actually did not show up as a planned trope. The characters are indeed complex, and for the story to slowly reveal the idiosyncrasies of each other as well as a each's shared past, hopes, and dreams, in an evenly paced manga is a great feat. I have been following this manga since its first chapter (at the time of this review on chapter 53) through the raws and it has not disappointed me. The struggles these characters face in the music industry is heart-felt and honest, and one cannot help but get a sense of wonder through Aki's music despite it being unheard. In a sense, this can be called "the pure love story and struggles of Mush & Co. and Crude Play." No reviewer can be certain where the tide takes these characters next, but just hang out for the ride.

I really like everything of the manga at the start, until the mangaka starts showing the complex relationships here and there. Then, I start to hate the stubborn characteristic of the female lead.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
How she continously reject singing Aki's song and start siding Shinya. (I start to think, "What's so good of you to hurt Aki's feeling" LOL

I may be a little (well, more than a little) bias as I HATE love triangle.
Overall, the story is nice and I strongly reccomend it to those who loves love triangle.

In this manga i like the art the most and theme.I always wondered about relationships between people in music industry and how it all is being mixed with their work.
Characters...well Aki seems little bit confusing while Riko is a bit naive.Guy that likes Riko doesent have much to him and he looks like he is there like a sticker with no use at all.Girl that was with Aki is selfish and you can see at start she will make trouble for main couple later on.
At some point story teeling for me became little confusing and i found myself lost in their conversations sometimes and what characters really wanted to say.
I think sensei could have done it better but that doesent mean that i dont like this manga smile
My fav scene are kisses between main couple *_*

Honestly, when I first read this, it was the Chinese version. I bought the manga because I've read Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu and it was really nice so I wanted to try this too(actually i was anticipating this series even before it was release as the chinese version one). At that time somehow I just don't really understand as the words are too hard to be understood(for me), so reading it was like killing me. So I dropped it. And now, when I decided to try it again(with the English version), I just can't stop myself! It was just to great! Can't wait for the next release!

To me at least, it's hard to find a manga that is realistic enough with it's characters and lifestyle and still be interesting. I can see where people would call it depressing, but life in general is depressing. I love every thing about this manga. The characters are deep, the plot is captivating and realistic. I understand why some people would say that falling in love at first sight is not realistic, but you can say that it never happened to them. It never happened to me, but I do believe in a strong attraction to someone. Anyways...the art was nice, it might bother some, but the story will make you forget about it. Like I said, this is a rare manga to find that's realistic. And it's not just about love, it's about life in general.. and music smile
