Well... i didn't hate it... i think?

i've never really been a fan of Yoshihara Yuki but i thought i'd give this manga a try as it came with such a wide spectrum of comments. other commentors have dubbed the protagonist as 'slutty' but before that i think she falls under the label of 'desperate'. If the main character fails then the surrounding story tends to collapse as well. also, 'i like you, i like you, i like you' is not enough to justify her (fluffy yet somehow...) stalkerish and obsessive behavior.

there are several other elements that might be deemed unsavory depending upon how seriously you read into your manga... however considering the actual content itself: soap opera cheesy with almost as many cliches, bland dialogue, desperate female (wannabe succubus) and chibi characters that ... although kinda amusing/kinda freaky... sometimes ruin the mood and reset everything back into *groan* mode.

*Sensei i like you so i want to touch you* repeated 5 times or more every chapter with teary bug eyes and so many poorly mixed signals that it could give you a stomach ache.

well... i only progressed to chapter 4 (because i'm a trooper (or is it a quitter?)! eheh) so if there's a review that extends beyond that i suggest you pay it more consideration than mine. If you're curious and want a brainless read (we all need a bit of brain-dead relaxation, no?) then you might check this out. Some parts are unexpectedly funny but not enough to keep the plot from staggering off into the woods.

What I don't like about this manga? The fact that Sakiko persistently chases after a married man, even wanting to become his mistress. Okay, so Chifuyu divorces his wife because his wife was having an affair with another man and he accepts Sakiko's love. That's fine. I don't mind that part. BUT just imagine if Chifuyu's wife is a loving wife and is devoted to him. Won't Sakiko feel guilty for chasing a married man and even wants to become their mistress?!

That's kinda screwed up isn't it?! I know it's fiction and it's not real, but sometimes what we read happens in real life as well you see. Not to mention that she actually slept with Chifuyu's younger brother just because she was a little heart broken. This manga is like telling the girls that it's fine to chase after a married man and become their mistress. Seriously. I'm not kidding at all. This kind of thought is really screwed up.

That aside, the manga is quite funny and hilarious. Especially Sakiko's monkey faces. But I still don't agree about the "chasing a married man" fact. Just imagine those woman who are divorced because their husband cheated on them and saw this manga...I think they're gonna burn this manga and sue the mangaka and the company.

I think it's rather dissapointing...the plot i mean. The female heroine is dumb and slutty, she's just a passing toy for both brothers. Moreover the older bro is naive and indecisive (keep making an excuse he had a wife, while eventually did ecchi stuff with her). Not the best of Yoshihara San's work sad

Take your pick

If it weren't for the comedy, I wouldn't want to continue reading this. Dropping the comedy, you'll get...adulterer, slut, no-brainer, wanting-to-slap-the-crap-out-of-this-stupid-girl, etc etc etc.

On top of that, toward the end of the manga, the author tried to make a better situation for the heroine, but I figured it was the author's attempt to TRY to justified the heroine's actions.

So this is your typical extreme-love-extreme-hate manga. If you want to read it for the smut and for comedy, this is for you. But if you want a realistic manga without having wanting to kill the heroine within the 1st chapter, I suggest you drop this and read something else.

I haven't read a manga where I've hatred the female character more or the male. I could even forgive habitual Playboys but not a couple who cheat consciously. The female knew that the guy was married and forced him to accept her as mistress. And then cheats on him! Even if the author tried to redeem their affair by showing the wife to be unfaithful, it doesn't excuse the heroine pushing the male character to infidelity when she did not even know about the unfaithful wife. For all you know, she could have been a nice person. On top of that, it is okay for her to love the brothers equally but she gets jealous when the help is nice to his wife. What double standards! It would have been a great ending if she died along with the crappy male lead.

Mixed feelings

On the one hand, I absolutely hate the female lead. She's immature despite being a grown-ass woman and her constant public proclamations of 'I'm going to be his mistress!' as if that's something you can just brag about without it reflecting negatively on the man you're sleeping with. Seriously, was she dropped on her head right after she was born?

I also hate this artist's version of chibis. They're absolutely ugly, unflattering gorilla-looking gremlins which just immediately kill any humor that it tries to stir up. That and there are jokes about Natsuo's penis being black which, maybe it's just a cultural thing, but what the shit?

Natsuo and Chifuyu are way too lenient and forgiving with this dunce of a female lead. When she's 'practicing' with Natsuo it can get kind of sensual, but it's either short-lived or interrupted by bullshit.

While there are other female leads that do dumb things and seem to be completely oblivious to how shit works, it is forgivable if 1) The character is at least a bit endearing (like Nana Komatsu in NANA, a girl in a very similar situation but somehow for all of her childishness still comes off as sympathetic) and that's it.

Sakiko is just a dumb box of rocks and I'm sorry, but there needs to be a balance with naivete, upfrontedness, and being a complete dumbass. I really didn't find it funny or enjoyable even though one of the male leads had long blond hair (my weakness) and the art wasn't bad (except for the chibis, ugh) but I just really dislike the depiction of sexually aggressive girls looking like gremlins in the comedic moments. Maybe once or twice, but if that's your signature style? Very unappealing.

I really like the mangaka's style. Her mangas are so funny and cute with a perverted touch to them *Makes me laugh all the time^^* though the chars look alike....
But sadly, it is short...((

I'd have wished if by in the middle, she fell in love with someone else.

Edit:
I still stand firm about wanting the main protag to change her mind and fall in love with Natsuo who really loves her. But I guess since it's done with...we can't do anything about it.

The story was unbelievable from the beginning, I guess...So from then on you can't really ask for anything serious to happen. Besides...the main protag was a dumb naive idiot from the beginning...I hate to admit it... /sigh. Of course in the real world, whatever she does won't really work...so /sigh. I don't even know what to say anymore. I'll just get on with the rating.

Yoshihara-sensei is probably one of my favorite artists. Her characters are always well-develop, her plots are always simple, and she never ceases to make me laugh.

But, truth be told, I'm not really crazy about this one. Although it shares some similarities to Itadakimasu, the latter is just a little bit more bearable for me. Had the love triangle excluded that one particular complexity, then I would have been able to appreciate it more.

This is probably the only series that I've read by Yoshihara that I didn't completely like, but I won't deny it's fun factor and classic Yoshihara humor either.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it at all

Um...I usually love Yoshihara-sensei's stuff (because of the complete and utter crack), but this series just didn't do it for me. Sakiko, what were you thinking?

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Losing your virginity to your love interest’s younger brother, and proceeding to practice sex techniques with him while still claiming to be head over heels for the love interest? That's kinda....

Strangely enough, I loved the character design. Their personalities were pretty good, and they were quite comical. Had that central plot been a little different, I would have loved this story just as much as sensei's others. I know that Sakiko was made out to be a straight forward "go-getter"-type heroine (and most of the time I really loved her for that), but *sigh*...really now. I was a little disappointed. I'm not even going to lie.

Like I've said, I don't hate this series. It was actually very good, and Yoshihara'sensei is just as thorough as ever. This one series just wasn't my thing. That's just my opinion though. Nothing more
