Pretty awesome

Definitely in my top 3 favorite Manhwa. It starts a bit slow, but by the end its pretty awesome. It has some twists and turns towards the end that make it worth the wait. I also think the art is darn good and overall I think its a superior story to Veritas which has some similarities.

I definitely recommend it and I can't wait to start reading the sequel.

I loved this series! It's soo good! I like the art alothough I found it abit odd initially. The characters and plot is also really interesting. But I found it didn't really pick up until Vol.2, so if you are thinking about reading it, stick with it!

This is my first review here..though ive been reading mangas for years...After reading all 8 volumes and 2 last chapters in 2 days (and thats only cause i started reading it late and went sleep at 4 am) i had to register and say something ...it is absolutely amazing....dont be turned off by the slow start.the character development is great and they havent begun to scratch the surface of the protagonist's potential..although i know most of us refer to the kid as the main char.... i honestly feel the teacher gets as much if not more attention ATM but i see them both as main chars right now ...the art is very good but the story is what stands out though... its the what hooks you and does not let go. i cant wait to see what happens next and there is still plenty more to build on so as long as this stays popular it could run for a while everyone should give this one a try

At first i picked this out because of the cool title, before finding it had so much more to offer. Great characters, interesting & funny plot plus ridiculously cool action make it the best manhwa out of korea since shin angyo onshi and maybe of all manhwa and manga of its genre.
Oh, and the best and most consistent art i have ever seen. EVER>_<

Story starts off slow but its starts picking up speed until the twists and action come thick and fast. The twists at the end were fantastic and really sets up well for New Waves. This was my 3rd manga after Bitter Virgin and Bleach and I've read a lot of stuff after that but I have to say it still sits in my top 5.

As others have said in the comments below, this manhwa started out pretty slow. The humor is mindless and in my opinion, tasteless, too. It's not that funny at all... but again, that's my opinion. The action is AWESOME. It's so good! Very creative. I can't believe how well drawn this is. The art is typical of shonen, I think. Intensifying the male quality (ABS) and the female quality (...boobs..etc.) And the abs are to die for.

I'm a shojo fan, btw, (though I do read shonen pretty often) so haha this kind of plot doesn't always click with me. Regardless of its genre, it's silly not to appreciate good art and plot when u see one. I love fight scenes in general. Good ones like this get my blood pumping. Even when he's losing, he still gets up... it's soo....squeelllll!!!! he is so so so cooooollll~~~ (i'm grinning like an idiot as i watch this, lol I'm such a fangal).
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Chapter 3 is when they started training... when the main guy took the strength pill thingy. And started having abnormal amount of Ki in this body.
Chapter 5 is about when he started to fight by himself.

Damn if people have stopped reading The Breaker after the first few volumes it's really too bad, because (can I say this?)
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
shit hits the fan near the end
and I'm pretty sure I shed a tear. Really, what makes manhwa like this amazing is the crazy build-up that leads to the final moment and all you can do is breathlessly read each page in amazement. Noblesse did that to me, and now The Breaker has done it once more. I can't wait to read New Waves when it's complete smile

I wasn't really into shounen nor manhwa before but The Breaker probably changed that. At first, I was doubtful, of course and had a hard time understanding stuff..and memorizing names - it's Korean, but I got the hang of it.What kept me reading was first of all: Chun Woo. He's a very sloppy yet very cool character. Second was the art. It's not always that you get to read a manga/manhwa that has an awesome plot and art - and characters. For The Breaker, it was pretty much a package deal.

Now, I'm just waiting for New Waves to build up.

Okay, honestly, at first I was going to give up on it because of the first volume.. I thought it was horrible because he was getting picked on like crazy over and over again. Obviously I was expecting a miracle since this is a manga after all.. the teacher shows up and he didn't help! Plus he looked like a perverted sleaze bag LOL. Boy, was I wrong.
I was basically skimming through the first volume, then skimmed through the first half of the second volume until the little girl from SunWoo clan came up bigrazz (i see some chemistry arising!)
That's when this manga gained my respect. He started going through tough training and started to learn the basics of martial arts, getting beat up so much that he was covered in blood.. and never giving up..
I love how his determination to not lose made that martial arts prodigy boy frightened..
Love it. I can't get enough of this manhwa!

BTW, I know how everyone is complaining about the way he got his power was too easy and etc..that doesn't really matter. What matters is how he's learning how to use that power and how he's growing stronger and how he improves in this foreign martial arts world. He was once this weakling who was afraid to stand up to the bullies but now you see him progressing! Doesn't that amaze you in any way?

And in the latest chapters (chp55) it's getting so intense with all the fighting and action that it makes you want more at the end of each chapter..

Speechless, go read it yourself. You will not be disappointed and I have to say myself, that this is one of the best mangas. Great conclusion, there's even a sequel! The sequel doesn't suck either, its even better actually.
