Well...

I wanted to like the main characters, but Yusuke was so wishy-washy that it made me a bit nuts (which is too bad, because he had some potential to be interesting as a character). And Atsushi was very... young. And ridiculously possessive (he didn't even want anyone else TOuCHING Yusuke...wtf?).

Mike was funny, and Ito and the managers were okay.

All in all, pretty typical of a yaoi manga.

There wasn't any rape, which is nice, though. (Just the weird thing where Yusuke was like, maybe I should stop, and then 'can't' make himself).

Also, a lot of the translation was very awkward and sometimes unintelligable in some of the chapters.

And Atsushi kept telling everyone he didn't want to study abroad, but then after they all but press-ganged him into doing it, they were shocked when he was unhappy and unsettled. Not such a mystery, idiots.

It dragged on forever, it felt like. It wasn't interesting enough to be that long.

I don't feel anything between Atsushi and Yuusuke, it felt like all the mangaka did was force them to be together... She didn't convince me why they are in love with each other. And the angst aspect was cheesy as well. Not a good story from her at all. I do enjoy her drawing skills.

If you're thinking about reading Toshishita no Ryuugi, I strongly suggest you to download the Nakama+Dangerous Pleasure version [you can find it on their respective homepages]. They are slightly behind -- only up to vol. 2, chap. 7, whereas Lemon Pie Lovers is done with the whole thing already -- but the quality of their translation [and overall feel] is far better. I found the latter's version somewhere online and I assume it's good enough if you're in "just to get the general picture" [in comparison, I found some unpardonable mistakes though], but to get a full grasp of what is going on I would wait for Nakama+DP updates.

Either way the story gets seriously boring and cliché and cheesy and stuck so I wouldn't bother either way. I like the art, but that's not enough.

It started out good...

but it became complicated during the second and third volume. I find it annoying when Yuusuke kept on thinking about the matters and not coming up with an answer, chasing away Atsushi, not rejecting Ito properly (plus, I don't get it why he need to take that long time to reject him!) and there are so many matters just kept on coming and coming that I no longer know what's happening anymore.

Indeed, Yuusuke is running away throughout the 2nd and 3rd volume. He's like "I should do this" yet "I shouldn't do this". Not to mention that the ending was slightly a lil bit rush! It's weird that Yuusuke suddenly appears right in front of Atsushi without any warning! *sigh* It may be great if it wasn't so complicated.

Well, I saw the whole thing and I wasn't feeling anything. Usually this mangaka's work is good and very nice drawing and all, but this story is quite too long to tell. It's always going back and forth and really annoying. It is quite disappointing because I always look forward on this mangaka's work.

I'm a fan of Matuya-sensei so I've been reading this ever since the 1st chapter came out. The art is just gorgeous and even though it's not so original story, the pace it went on was pretty nice.

There's only couple things that left me unsatified: a) the lack of sex scenes b) the ending was... well kinda plain. I expected a little more character growth and drama. And the make up sex of course.

But like I said, overal it was a nice and good series. Definetely worth my time smile

Agh, I finally found this manga! It took me years to find it because I forgot the title and only read the first chapter. YES! I just finished reading the latest chapter. I'm so happy. I hope it'll be updated as soon as possible. I can't get enough with the characters.

Like everyone else, I'd admit that this manga started off well but was a total disappointment later on. The mangaka threw in too much drama and you don't know what exactly the characters really want. I don't really like the idea of a love rival being the only hurdle in a romance manga. There's a lot many other things that the mangaka could use. Aside from that, the plot went around in circles.

I'd say that the first volume was good, the second was almost tolerable and I couldn't stop myself from
skipping pages when I reached the third. The art is beautiful so here goes a 6! ^

I like it but i'm confused. The start is good, there is a chemistry between them but as the story progress their simple problem just keep on stretching to the point that it seems they can't solve it anymore, and the hell with the ending, they suddenly get back together i didn't even know what happened because before they get back together the uke seems to still suppress his feelings for the seme's sake then at the last chapter viola! They reconcile. Oh well that's it? But i still like the story, the art is also good.

I love it i love it, i love the mangaka's works, is no secret that the art is superb, just beautifullll!
And everytime is very sweet and kind, the semes are very nice and i love it . The plot wasn't original but it has something that it just made me wait for the releases like crazy. What i would have wanted to see more is with no doubt: Sex. But overall it was lovely ^_^
