It promised to be a good story, with nice drawings and a story that could have developed much more, instead, it became VERY repetitive. The characters are flat and the story seems to lead to nowhere, there are chapters that are just to fill up space, it seems to me that until the author can think of a development or real progress in the plot/story.
I got bored long before the 21st chapter but compulsively read until then. None of the characters have any personality outside of their archetype. Carp god, a side character, was sorta interesting, but she's not around enough to make it worthwhile. There's also a snake boy who's a nice force of chaos, but same as carp god, not around enough.
Formulaic romance. Main character morphs into damsel in distress character, losing all conviction. Every character is lacks depth. Art is unoriginal and uninspiring. Motivations are lacking or unconvincing.
If you've ever read a decent series, stay away as this twilight-like drivel isn't worth the time.
