The idea of a spin-off where the MC starts later on in the story and has to do different things to succeed sounded fun but the problem for me is that in order to earn the favor of most of these characters she just does exactly the same thing she did in the original series and it still works the same way. To me this makes about half the chapters in this manga to feel like a complete waste of time.

I absolutely loved the changes they made with the family issues at the start of volume 2, one of the few places where I thought this manga was FAR better than the original. Most of the new characters are quite good too.

If you absolutely loved the original story and want more and don't mind them repeating a lot of scenes you'll love this.

If you thought the original was just "ok" then most of this manga will feel like a waste of time. But you might still enjoy the unique bits here and there.

This one differs in the fact that Katrina is still a villainess without her past life’s memories until about a year before her destruction.
This one offers a different perspective, but I still like the original better. I enjoy watching the childhood friends grow up together.

The starting point for Katarina's reincarnation is different between the two mangas.

In this spin-off Katarina is reincarnated after she starts school and has already begun bullying Maria. The other manga starts off when Katarina is a kid and does not take part in the bullying.
