It's alright I guess? It just feels kind of messy
Pros:
- the personalities of the MCs
- strong female lead
- good art

One of the better manga of its category so far. I don't see what's so confusing, since the twists are pretty easy to understand. Shizuka is a wonderful girl, if you ask me. She's just easily misunderstood because she's too altruistic and most people who read this manga, like all animals, are more towards the selfish side, so they don't understand altruistic people.
Still really shaking my head. If anything, I really like the chapters flashbacking to her mom and everything to do with her mother rather than Shizuki, who is very inconsistent. While she's not afraid to smacktalk or have a build up eventually and just shout what's on her mind, I think the "strong female character" aspect is kind of iffy because it's not...always there in the way that I think it defines her--you'll have these strong scenes where it's like "Yooooooooo" and she states her case, but I just feel it's so dispersed. Maybe it's just me.
As well, I'm not really a fan of the thought of being in romantic love with two people at the same--it's really hard to discern what kind of love she has for both Tetsu and Retsu specifically in the beginning, and then later on, it's just
inducing. It feels wishy-washy. In addition, the 'plain' aspect of Shizuka when compared to her brothers is really too played up to be anything but remotely annoying every time it gets mentioned. Also, the whole "who is the adopted sibling" question gets dragged into this unnecessarily complicated process
The twins are hot, though. I agree with Skaro there. Also so is their mom, who also is blessed with a really arrogant and vain personality; I love it. Dude, I would love to be mad friends with that woman.

It kept me interested, you will always be trying to guess who is the adopted one XD
It is slow paced and even though there's the whole brother sister forbidden relationship thing, It didn't creep me out at all.
P.S. Shizuka's friends suck e_e all the girls in that manga are freaks and so annoying. If you go by this manga all Japanese girls are in heat all year round. There isn't a single girl in this manga who is likable, except for the main character.

I applogize in advance since this won't be a normal review, is just my two cents that i must get out of my system.
Even tho I like complicated relationships and not so ordinary story lines, in this manga there are too many plot twists and it can confuse you. This really gives me off a feeling of a soap opera, is really ridiculous with the amount of secrets that are around the characters.
And I'm really angry and annoyed at the parents, hiding so many things and making their kids miserable.
But still, overall, I think that story isn't bad, i liked the characters and the art as well, is just that it made me a bit frustrated, I feel like it was dragged out a bit, would have been so much better with a little less of those plot twists, i.e. if it ended sooner.

I felt disappointed with this one since the rates and comments were kinda good and the drawing seemed nice... The beginning was really painful for me, the characters were all irritating, even the good looking guys weren’t that pretty and not much likeable, the drawing wasn’t that appealing for me also.
Luckily, after the volume 5 or something, the story gets more interesting or maybe I got used to all this that were making me mad... The truth is I only didn’t stop reading it because I was so stressed already and couldn’t accept the fact that this manga was sooo bad and didn’t seen to get better any sooner. Maybe that’s one of its few good points since this manga makes us keep reading even though I would punch Shizuka if I could! How can a person be so stupid as to have such horrible friends and let all those annoying girls use her and say bad things about her like that??

The part that I liked the most was about the past, but only when it showed Shizuka’s mother much cooler personality... because the ‘queen personality’ that were shown was even more annoying than the girls at the school and I say that because I couldn’t see her treating Shizuka like her daughter and it all added to the fact that Shizuka was a pitiful person... oh, and since this manga is about forbidden feelings, I would say that not only it could have shown more lovely scenes (and this could be smut or not, I just wanted to see more love ><) but also I couldn’t understand how she got to like more Tetsu than Retsu and, like axiem said, how could be such a lame reason for both of then fall in love with a so undesirable girl (sorry, but she pitied herself so much that I couldn’t take it)

I read this when it was only up to volume 6. Now I come back and found it completed! I had to finish it.
The plot dragged on too long. But I loved it in the end. Made me squeal like a school girl! And I even laughed out loud! definitely some light heart reading.

It's kinda weird because in the end, they're still first cousins. Still incest -_- Blame their parents >.>
Basically like this:
Ryouko x Shunji (younger Maku brother) = Shizuka
Kouichi (older Maku brother) x Nanase = married early in HS. no feelings so no child
Nanase x Shunji = Retsu bc she wanted to get back at him for not loving her.
Kouichi x Nimura's mom loved each other deeply (basically she was his mistress) = Tetsu
In the end, Retsu is her half bro, and Tetsu is their cousin
Basically like this:

After reading a manga like "The revolutionary girl utena" and then next this one makes you feel like its a real good one. A little drag. But good nonetheless. Thank god for a heroine who can be evil at times. And I loved the mom character. Queen mother!!
There is a good story behind this but it dragged on and took so long to develop that it was getting boring. The romance doesn't really turn up until the later chapters as well. But I really liked Ryouko, Shizuki's mom, she was a fun and entertaining character. As for Shizuki, overstating her as plain got really dull really quick.

Ryouka adopted Testu and Restu and raised them as twins since they are very much like their fathers.
Kouichi continued to cheat on Nanase, with the reasoning as they were soul mates, with Haruka even while married but stopped when Nanase became pregnant.
Haruka and Nanase fought over Kouichi, but Haruka lost due to the fact that Nanase became pregnant and lied to her by telling her it was Kouichi's, when it was actually Shounji's.
Shounji liked Nanase even though she was his brothers wife, but once Ryouka forcefully points out all of their flaws and confesses to Shounji, Shounji later develops great feelings for her over Nanase.
Haruka gave Testu away because she didn't want to keep looking back at her painful past. she also didn't abort him because she was hoping that Kouichi might come back to her some day. Little did she know, that when Shounji, Kouichi, and Nanase came back from their road trip, Nanase and Kouichi were going to divorce and Ryouka was going to tell Shounji she was pregnant.
Haruka had Nimura out of loyalty to carry out the line and met her husband through her parents choice.
