Description
Matsumae Ohana was a fairly ordinary high school girl who is suddenly sent to live with her grandmother when her mother and mother’s boyfriend decide they want to be alone for a while. This catches her completely off guard, but she goes to the Onsen her grandmother own only to discover that she’s expected to work there as well. At first she rejects the idea, but then decides to turn herself into that perfect Onsen hostess.
But it’s not quite going exactly as planned…

Excuse you to the person below me, way to be mature and call someone out on what they think. Also, what's wrong with fags? -.- As for me, I'm waiting to see what will happen, but right now the series does deserve a shot.
Definitely worth it!

It starts off a bit slow (unlike most series that drag on for 4-5 eps, this one actually only takes up 2 eps to warm up!), bu tthen it becomes really really eventful, funny, sometimes sad, and it often makes you think the same thing Ohana does - mostly about the things her granny does/says.
Sadly there's a typical pervert in it, but he only got a few retarded scenes, otherwise he's just there.
The relationships are well made, character development is amazing, and overall it makes you feel like you're part of their "family". 🙂

Charming tale that's worth reading, classic shounen slice of life that doesn't veer into forced moe or the unreal. Ohana deals with the tough hand she was delt with good cheer and hard work, winning over those around her.
As for the creepy fangirl review below, what were you expecting? Maybe stick with BL titles and shoujo instead of delving into the world of general shounen when pursuing that particular kind of kick. Remember, shounen titles like Hanasaku Iroha are aimed at a male demographic; female readers are welcome, but incidental.

Doesn't matter if it's a guy or a girl. Sure if it was a guy then that would be very interesting. But to me, I think Ohana really has a certain charm about her. Normally I would not even pick something like this up because of the constant blush thing. Minus that, the everything else about the style is gorgeous. But since I have, and I love it so far. Sure it starts pretty slow but I believe it's a good thing for a story like this.
All that aside, I really like the romance that is starting to show itself. And I'm really rooting for Toru x Ohanna because that would just be so incredible. Ko-chan is just the all nice guy but might also be irrational sometimes when driven into a corner guy.
But really, it is too soon to say which way it will go. But so far, all the little aspects of this work is keeping me going so I will keep on reading/watching this one for sure. (Sadly it isn't shoujo ^^; Would love to see a lot more romance here!)
