Couple of moderately entertaining characters
by Aadieu

Fairly decent, despite plot holes galore, sudden iddqd-style levelups passed off as "character development", general disregard for most piles of corpses left behind despite police and wannabe-detective characters present & highly interested in occasional random incidents, and occasional half-hearted attempts to use hints of sexual abuse as fanservice

...most of the series is carried entirely on the thin shoulders of one literally axe-crazy stalker girl. Everything else is rather unoriginal.

Watching the anime

I'm watching MN anime and I have mixed feelings; the hype about Mirai Nikki(from one person) is a let down I actually thought everything will be a death note-like psychological where I'm pulled in from the very first episode, sadly that's not the case, everything is anti-climatic they never built on nothing I feel that Yuno (and other characters), alone just carried the series that's why I'm like should I read the the manga.

Some people have posted that they read this manga before it was popular, which is why it irritates them that people think it's not good - what a load of rubbish. Reading something before someone else doesn't give you sole rights to everyone's opinion. People will think it's good, because the idea is really good. Yuno is a well-written character with a wicked back-story; Aru is just completely cool; Ninth is bad-ass as can be; Seventh are a decent couple and have values that are non-existent throughout the rest of the story... On the other hand, people will slate it and think it's awful, because, despite how much the 'fans' disagree, there are so many pointless actions that could have been avoided; the main character is a pathetic, miserable, contradictory, waste-of-space, heart-wrenchingly disgusting sack of sh*t who should never have been introduced to the story in the first place. Having to see his face in this story makes me sad, and makes me want to burn the pages he's on. Amano Yukiteru is worthless and doesn't have a clue as to what he's doing. He whimpers, he cries, he butchers his friends and then tells Yuno not to kill Aru? Not to kill her past self? Despite the fact that he's just slain people he's allegedly considered his 'first friends', just because of what? Siding with Yuno despite the amount of screwed up sh*t she's done to him? What a mess... and then there's the people who see all of his ridiculously absurd antics and still try to help him as if he's the only 'savior' despite the fact that everyone else has more chance of getting things done than he does? Why is this 'main character must be 'THE ONE'' trip always so over-enforced? Frankly, it's sickening. The person who created the Mirai Nikki storyline should be heralded as a genius. The person who created the character Amano Yukiteru and all subsequent interactions and causalities relating to him show shrivel in a corner in shame and not return until they've found a way to right this calamitous wrong. Read Maoh: Juvenile Remix - that's a REAL psychological series with a REAL story and REAL main character.

Hard To Rate....

This is one of those mangas that you can't tell if you like or dislike which is not surprising in psychological mangas. At some points you'll hate everyone, then you'll start liking them again, then you'll wonder why the hell you're still reading this, then you'll realize it's pretty good.

It's definitely interesting, unpredictable and a total mind-f*ck, but damn, it was hard to get through sometimes. Not because it's bad but at some points I felt like this just wasn't for me.

I think something has to be wrong with you if you truly enjoyed this from the bottom of your heart it was depressing, sick, and totally f*cked up, but if you don't appreciate how well-writting and absolutely crazy this story is than you are even more damaged, mate. Brilliantly psychotic. A "good" read. Give it a try, you'll be scarred...in a good way...maybe.

This will be amongst my top ten mangas of all time. To be honest, I thought it was going to be "Horror manga where everyone dies every other chapter" and it kinda was. But let me go into detail a bit before you judge this manga.

We have Yuuki, our standard protagonist. Throughout the manga his personality is quite consistent, it changes realistically (for the most part) after a traumatic event and he also has his flaws, making me angry when he made bad decisions and rooting for him during life threatening situations. This is what a story is SUPPOSED to do. It makes you empathisize with the characters and this manga pulled it off perfectly.

Then there's Yuno. I can't really make any judgements about her because I haven't really read a whole lot of yandere manga, but I'm pretty sure she fits that description well. She's psychotic and extremely cute when she doesn't "break". Quite honestly, she's my favorite character in the entire story. There's a couple twists and turns with her character, which truely surprised me.

The story itself was excellent, although I quite frequently got lost. It seems the author doesn't know how to do transitions well, because I kept thinking I missed reading critical information. It explains things really well, it's just that I got disoriented. In hindsight it's not that big a problem.

The ending tricked me! It was surprising and I loved it.

Really good series

i really liked this series it had a lot of interesting/messed up character and the story and drama was really good but then kinda weird but still good towards the end. What really defines this series is of course the characters for the main lead over all i just had a lot of ups and downs with him cause he was really pathetic to me and barely had a lot of character growth. there was a lot of other crazy characters that did fit this series real good being a survival game manga. And then there's Yuno the main heroine my god she really made this series with all her craziness lol. she is the full embodiment of the genre called "yandere" and did every thing you would expect from a yandere, and more
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
She even tried to kill the main character she loved which is the classic ending to having a yandere girl after you lol
, they should definitely put her in the Japanese dictionary as the #2 definition of Yandere =Yuno

Excelent Overall

It is an incredibly well done "Romeo & Juliet" style romance with a little bit of psychological drama and a couple twists here and there. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the amazingly idiotic thinking of the main character through the middle to near end of the series... Kill everyone to become god and bring his parents back to life? Meh sounds like a freaking spoiled snot-nose brat. About the ending it was simply awesome, we all knew it was going for a happy ending and honestly it really should be and I think the author nailed it. Through out the story you see tragedy all around and just like irl we all keep believing and hoping for the best during hardships so the ending how it was did get to me pretty much. Only reason I didn't rate 10 was because of what I mentioned, the stupidity (in a bad way, not the "cute" way) of the main character at some points. Seriously recommended.

when i read the description, i wasn't really sure. I started reading it and thought the dude was sorta lame. Love the crazy girl, i was so sick of the pretty girl who needs the hero's help all the time. The manga was so fast paced, with the way the plot was laid out I thought it could probly be longer and extend on some of the arcs. The twist BLEW MY MIND INTO A SFJSDJFSJDFSJFSJDFMILLION PIECES AND THEN THEY ALL MELTED INTO MUSH!!!

the ending...still dunno how i feel about it. didnt feel right wit the twist...

her love is so beautiful...and a little creepy...very creepy

If your not sure, READ IT ANYWAY
