that YUKITERU is so f**king annoying - he cries every 2-3 pages .... WTH with a main character like him - it's just so annoying.
Other than that, it's an interesting story. I'm only at chapter 5 right now so maybe that'll change *and i'm giving this series a try about 4-5 more chapters or so because I do hope the main male char like Yukiteru will get better or else i'll stop this series just because I couldn't stand him crying every single minute.
Right you can say it's refreshing blah blah but even as loser as other main character in other harem series they don't cry every single 2 pages. T_T" I'm not expecting him to be very strong or anything but at least keep his tears don't overflow like some crybaby like Nobita in Doraemon. Urgh

This is one of the few mangas I completed without getting bored at all. I usually don't like mangas with much dialog instead I'm more into mangas which you see more of the action than read it. But this manga greatly have both of it, it has action and much dialog which is perfect for me.

I loved the idea of having a future diary to survive on, in a survive game.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
And how desperate everyone was and how they formed alliance and there after betray each others.

I totally love the characters, and even if the main character Yukiteru is a wimp, so is he perfect as the main character in just this version of manga. The heroine Yuno is totally wonderful! I seriously love yanderes, which makes me a fan of Yuno too. Then there are more characters too, but it will spoil everything if I write about those too.

Great read

Could have been done a bit better, but it's still amazing. Good luck if you're just picking it up, I reckon this is one of those that are better being read monthly as they are released.

Good action, compounded by a good plot. The characters are a bit odd, but you gotta remember that they were chosen for not being normal (what kind of normal person would be any good as god?)

Also, I recommend that if you read this, you should read mirai nikki mosaic when you get past around the halfway mark. It fleshes out one of the characters. It's not essential, but it adds a lil more depth without slowing down the main series.

This is... very strange. None of the characters or the story make sense. It could've been done so much better. But I'm still reading it because I like some aspects of it. Finding out where Yuno and Amano will end up... and such...

Mirai Nikki plays with one of media's most used device: diaries. These diaries shows the future as seen and interpreted by the owner. Scary, huh? Not enough? Let's make it that if your diary is destroyed you die too. More? OK, so let's have twelve people kill each other by using those diaries. You become God if you ever win. Still lousy? How about that psychotic girlfriend of yours isn't who you think she is.....

A mix of horror and drama. Death Note meets Gantz in this action thriller that will change your views of that small phone you carry around....

Hey! You got a message! Make sure it ain't your last!

there are lots of mystery the mystery of this manga is different from death note since death note mystery is obvious on readers side only
the good guys were trying to solve the puzzle while we already know the headmaster! but future diary has many mystery that you can't predict to the point that you'll understand after it is being revealed duh!

2nd world is not known at first 2nd yuno was though as fake yuno
and there are many conclusion I have that is also wrong even the characters of this manga, I think only the maker of this manga knows the truth before it is unfold duh! again!

There is one reason and one reason only that this manga is pure win. GASAI YUNO the entire reason this manga is so amazing is because of our amazing psychotic heroine. Honestly I just love the scenes she goes berserk and goes and does things a normal person could never hope to dream of doing

An unorthodox style of retarded.

Often labeled a poor man's Death Note for its attempt at a pseudo-psychological mind game involving text mediums with supernatural powers, but that's about as far as the comparison goes. Where Death Note nearly drowned under the slogging weight of its superfluous logical labyrinths, Future Diary is wafer thin and fast-paced. With the exception of the brilliantly unpredictable lead female, the characters of Future Diary are one-note cardboard cut-outs with barely a pretension of background or motivation. Nothing within the story seems to hold any intrinsic weight beyond an excuse to push the lead toward his next confrontation. The action sequences are totally contrived and every plot twist seems calculated just to give the author somewhere to take the story for a few chapters.

However, in spite of these shortcomings (and in some cases because of them), it's a brisk and entertaining read. Nothing in the story can be taken seriously without a boulder of salt, and the sheer amount of flying-by-the-seat-of-the-pants bullshittery actually becomes endearing once you've accepted that there's nothing more to be found. Every lazy corner cut by the author is actually just another several chapters of mush you're being saved from slogging through, and the pages simply fly by when you've got a good backlog going. There's a million and one things to call out and make fun of (Why is Ninth, a 20-something Japanese woman who grew up in peaceful Japan, a terrorist bomber? Why is the mayor of this city a white dude? Why is Eighth shaped like the Pillsbury Doughgirl?) so taking potshots is easy fun, and while sometimes it can be so stupid that you wonder how the author can possibly be making this in all seriousness, the fact that it's so consistently entertaining despite itself is a vote in its favor.

It is intentional.

Yuki seems like a wimp in this manga... but I think it is intentional..

Anyways his diary is pretty much useless so you can't expect miracles. Whats more he only recently start shredding part of his shell, thus much dependent on Yuno and allies.

And I don't see any wrong being dependent on someone else, as long as he is not self-handicapping. Its purely survival.

when I first read this, I thought it was a great entertaining story with awesome crazy characters and alot of potential. After finishing up to the 49th chapter, I can't help but feel this was instead destined for 4chan's /b. Utterly illogical, random, stupid and utterly deus ex machina events, as well as simply out and out wtf? (and not in a good way) This manga has made me laugh, sometimes hard. Unfortunately, I don't think that was the intention...
