All these stories are pure gold! The first one was definitely my personal favorite though. Rather than a love-hate relationship, I'd describe the first story as just as massive communication fail compounded by two different kinds of inferiority complexes and a rather unhealthy mutual obsession. So basically, it was perfect! The art is beautiful, and all the stories were memorable. The second one was quirky, and the third was a seriously rendered sadist and masochist pair that were perfect for each other, if lacking a bit of development due to length. Absolutely recommended, it's a great book!

i'll disagree with some people and say that i loved the first story the best. it's a rarity to see the borderline between passionate hate and love explored so expertly. often it just comes across as borderline rape. but this story and the motivations of the characters made it really work, not to mention the scenes in question were REALLY hot O/////O;; im a sucker for repressed feelings, desperation, and angst, though, so i'm probably biased <_<;;

second story was different...but cute. third story was weirdly kinky, lol. my mom works in a dental clinic, so it's a little awkward XD;;

I'm probably biased, because I love bastards.... but I really liked the relationship between them. It was cruel, but you could still see where the main character was coming from.

The story line is a bit jumpy though, and it doesn't flow terribly well.
Nice artwork.

I loved the oneshot with the hairdresser, it was adorable

I loved the story line it was awsome! but the hot senes could have been longer they were good dont g me wrong and i would recomend this to someone but they could for at lease my poin of view could have been long....anyway i was great and i love it!

I love it when Hidaka Shouko takes the most non-original plots and turn them into something so powerful, intriguing and unforgettable: that's what the first story was for me. There's something so pure and unadulterated about their relationship, the chemistry, the connection is just perfect and Hidaka Shouko manages to convey that flawlessly: the long meaningful gazes, the careless remarks, the reckless actions, the running incomplete thoughts and sentences, the pregnant atmosphere... personally, it really is an amazing read.

the second story is without a doubt adorable, but then an adorable oneshot is not often memorable. As for the third story, I laughed a little at the attempt to rationalize that kind of fetish-story, but it was a good attempt though and again, stories with random situations don't appeal and struck me very strongly

Lately I've been thinking to my self DID I read all the good manga out there. But no there are some left. I hve to say I luv smex scenes with a plot to it. This totally brought what I was looking for. A must read!!!

Yeah, I'm totally a sucker for yaoi with a sports theme. So unlike many comments the first story really spoke to me. And as I'm no fan of hardcore yaoi and actually prefer that "innocent" touching it was even more awesome since it was a lot of that smut.
The second story was SUPERCUTE but still the last one really fitted my taste. I am no fan of either detnists or S&M but that story was awesome. I have no idea what in the story was so awesome, but I would really recommend it.

I'm really starting to become a Hidaka Shoko fan!

I didn't really care for the first story. I don't really like it when people can't figure out their own feelings to that extent. It's just not relate-able to me. I did love the second story, it was really sweet. The dentist story was interesting, I liked it and on some level I could consider it sweet too. The first story really just didn't do it for me though. I also felt like the ending wasn't very satisfying, it was pretty open ended i guess.

I really didn't care for the first story. The couple just over all annoyed me. The hair dresser and dentist stories were good though. I haven't read too many BL stories where the seme (or uke for that matter) isn't super handsome or good looking. The seme hair dresser had a unique look to him. That story was cute. The dentist story was interesting too. A bit of s &m thrown in there lol Wish both of the latter stories could have continued.

i didn't like the first story; mainly because haruyama is such a total jerk, and never really improves, which makes tanabe seem like a total doormat for coming back. the story could have been quite nice (cause that particular trope works for me) if haruyama hadn't been so cold and mean every time, or if he had at least grown up by the end -- but no, he still got a stick up his butt about "fair treatment", like it's tanabe's fault he gets it after working so hard? the more i think about it, the more i dislike haruyama. of course if you enjoy hate sex, this might be just the thing for you, *wry grin*.

loved the hairdresser story -- no angst there, which was a nice change of pace after the unrelenting upheaval of the first story, and the art was particularly nice in this story. and i laughed at the dentist's story (even though i do have a bit of a phobia, but fortunately it does not get activated by looking at drawings); that's the funniest story of hidaka's i've ever read.
