It's goofy but rewarding.

First off, I wonder what the author was on when making this...? Well, I was not expecting to like this at all. I read the first few chapters and I was about to quit reading, around when the love angle between Torako, the autistic guy and that girl was introduced... because it's not my cup of tea, still I found the simplicity of the manga art charming enough so I pulled through thinking the art was worth the suffering ahead but instead I went on an emotional rollercoaster. Especially the moment when Torako was seeing her friends through the donut hole gagged me so much, I admit.
The second half of the manga really (like REALLY) made it up to me and I'm happy I got to read about the comfort and ups-and-downs of family, friendship and the romance. Also aside from that silly love angle, there's like a number of tropes thrown together it almost makes me laugh by how random it is😕 Like when the God and the basketball club leader kissed (this one grossed me out since he's old and she's a teenager) or when it was revealed that Torako's black-cat best friend had a hidden motive for going over her house. It's just so goofy but if you're able to get pass that, you'll be rewarded.
I love Torako's character so much. In her basketball club, she's only ever good at being a 3-point-shooter (and really nothing else) but what I actually like about this is that she gets humbled. Sure, she's great at one thing but will that mean that she's gonna be great at it always? The author does so otherwise, pushing away the idea that main characters should be flawless with what they do.
