Description
The story could basically be split into two halves. The main story is about Tamai Shiina, who is an energetic middle-school teenage girl. She visits her grandparent's over the summer where she runs into a very strange creature. Shiina has had lots of strange dreams as of late and also when she was younger, and this strange creature is somewhat related to her visions. She names the small cuddly star-shaped creature, Hoshimaru.

I really dont know. I started reading it with not much interest. I tried to rate it but truthfully I am puzzled. I can rate it a 7 but I can also rate it a 9. It's ambiguous I guess. While reading the series I found it sometimes childish and sometimes it would suddenly change atmosphere leaving you an impression of blancs. At the same time however it raised some interesting points which agreed with me (coincidence but there were a lot of things that I ve been recently thinking about)
and made the series seem well thought. I guess the mangaka wanted it to be a little ambiguous and even strange. As for the and... lol I ll be damned if I understood it. I think it will take me anther 2-3 readings. You know it's nice to have "open" endings which anybody can interpret anyhow he likes but there should be a limit. It's a sad series with a lot of death, thinking, tragedy and distress. I give it a 8.3

Got interested in this manga when the Anime ended so abruptly. Its a Kiddy premise turned upside down! New information is leaked out during the story that screws with your head and the Evangelion ending left me completely speechless.

Did you see Nausica from the valley of the winds? The protogonist is similar to her. It's not some kind of story when the main hero get a super power a and become a superman. No. Maybe the story is sometime childish, sometime a little fairy tale, sometimes it is foolish, but KINDNESS is the main...Read it and you like it. And don't pay attention to the image. There are a lot of deaths there. And sometimes it so strange and silly...
