Read the first two volumes and then never touch this again

I loved everything I was reading from Volume 1 to the end of Volume 2, but it's clear as soon as you start reading V3 that the author ran out of ideas for strips. Volume 3 is mostly generic, lame strips that will only make you sigh as you lament for the clever gags that roped you in in the first place. Maybe it picks up later but I could not continue to Volume 4, and I don't recommend you try, either. Definitely read the first two, though.

I found this 4-koma to be really amusing. It might be the funniest manga I've read so far. It's really difficult to explain why the jokes suit my style of humor, but... well, one of the things it has going for it, in my opinion, is the things that happen are ridiculous enough that you don't know exactly what's going to go down. For example, you know something physically impossible is probably going to occur involving Cheko's "frilly thing," but you don't know just how or what it's going to be, because it doesn't follow any normal physical rules. In this respect, it sort of reminds me of the appeal of Tom and Jerry.

The only real complaint I have is about the ecchi drawings of characters that would sometimes be on the chapter title pages--this kind of thing is really in bad taste, so I was really disappointed to see it in an otherwise very enjoyable manga. There aren't that many of these drawings though, so it's not too difficult to skim past and ignore them. Anyway, I think this manga is a fun read, so I recommend giving it a try.

Ah, I forgot to mention one thing--you will notice that the art on the covers is so-so, but on the inside, the characters are drawn in chibi style the vast majority of time, so overall the art is fine. This was an extremely wise choice on the part of the mangaka--realizing what he can't draw well and sticking to what he can--and many others would benefit from following his example, because even those who are bad at drawing can almost always still draw nice chibi people.
