Not quite what I waited for all these years

This long elusive one-shot is only his second work right after the superior and award-winning Futatabi. I waited for a long time to read Noa but I frankly expected more. His previous and vaguely connected Futatabi has better art, characterization and content. Noa themes are a bit of a mess. The Mad Max spirit is noticeable and welcome but the narrative feels vastly incomplete and slightly amateurish. The half cooked religious metaphor at the end and the forced nudity and gore didn´t fit either.
A re-master of Noa isn´t high on my wish list but every real Berserker needs to read as it is important to know your roots. Just expect no big revelations. Gigantomakhia and Futatabi are an 8/10. I reviewed both, The comparable Mad Max 1&2 should be checked out first and Miura´s main work is the best comic there is. 'Nuff Said!

i like the way it developed as there is no set course it could take. the characters are all mysterious in their own way, if berserk is not done this could be a long running series too, seems interesting. a good post apocalyptic story.
