Yay... Breaker...

Doesn't strike me as anything supper original, intense or whatever... smile Means, no way do I consider this somehow special or superior to anything. Art is good, other than that - meritocracy... embarrassed But why da hell do people read manga? Reasons my by many, but I will shamelessly put them in one bag - to get entertained. Did I got entertained by reading this? Oh yes I did. Mission accomplished, Breaker, have my 10 and live strong!

This is one of the BEST among all the manhwa and manga I've ever read! Seriously! It's very exciting~ <3
I agree that it becomes slow sometimes, however, in hindsight I think those slow chapters are very significant to the overall story
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Like in Shioon's kidnapping, Sera's opportunity to help Shioon and Shioon's opportunity to fulfill his promise to Sera fleshes out their relationship--It makes so much sense now why someone like Sera helps Shioon

The story is fleshed out very well. And the art is fantastic! Again one of the best!

Well i re-read it again in freakin' 3 days until this point. It's surprising how good it can be and how forceful to read it can be. U want more, more and more. Non the less there is simple difference between first part and second part. That is even better artwork, good story, super quality fights and overall great use of techinques. I mean in every manga user of techinque usually shouts out the name, but here actually other characters are explaining in mid fight and story. This is suprsing but actually very welcomed feat of manga. I love it simply said that. For here and there we learn some history, but it's not overflowing with flashbacks. Overall good thing to read so i recommend it to every one who loves fighting, some harem but not overbearing. I didn't find surprising that main protagonist has 3 or 4 girls who are into him and he is actually clueless about it. Although i never got a vibe that Sae-hee is actually into him and less vibes that he sees her as GF afterall. Shi-woon is indeed curious but very principal and explosive character. Unlike Naruto, he is more decisive and has completely his resolve where he stands. He knows what he wants.

Finally dropping this after almost 60 chapters. As much as I loved the original series, I can't bring myself to continue reading.

The reason was mainly because the Shioon that I loved from the first season was no where to be found, and was instead replaced by an exaggerated version of himself that turned my favourite aspects of his character into some of my least. For example, while I enjoyed his determination and idealism in The Breaker (they were what made him so unique and likeable), these traits gradually became what made him annoying and generic, as they devolved into and festered as what I can only describe as idiocy. And he's never adequately called out on it.

But, despite that, I was still hanging in there for the desire to see how the plot develops. Except, it doesn't. Well, to be fair, things do happen and the plot does develop somewhat, but it's slow - almost painfully so. However, I get that; sometimes, it's necessary for creating more cohesive plots and therefore better stories. But knowing this doesn't change how the slow pacing served to do none of the above - especially when some essential areas of the storyline that should have been developed more slowly and thoroughly, were either needlessly rushed or overlooked, while others that could have been sped up were drawn out pointlessly for the sake of introducing unnecessary details.

In a similar esteem, I'd say the way information and new characters were presented was mediocre at best. Now, don't get me wrong: I liked some of the new characters and nothing was all that confusing. No, but the way everything is shown makes the story annoying to read, in that it not only disrupts the pacing, but also complicates the chapters in such a way that it distances the reader from the story.

Plus, Shioon's little harem is starting to get irritating, especially when better romantic dynamics for the females can be found with other male characters - but that's a relatively minor issue.

Sigh. Maybe I'll pick this up again when I have nothing else better to do. But until then, I'm giving it a 5.

First Time vs Second Time Readers

I discovered The Breakers before reading the New Wave a long time ago, therefore I cannot rate this mahawa without being under the influence of the prequel. In my opinion if you read the New Wave first, you would undoubtedly enjoy the mahawa because the concept of the protagonist hiding "super powers" is probably what most people are looking for, including myself, but since I read the prequel i cannot help but complain. This is because The Breaker ended with the protagonist with super martial arts, while the the sequel began with him becoming a useless protagonist once again. Although, he began as a hopeless bore, his personality really wanted me to continue reading, but these expectations were ruined when they continued to drag it out. Therefore in conclusion, if you read the prequel first, I do not recommend you to read it, but if it's your first time, go ahead. I believe you would find the protagonist interesting.

Without giving too much away, my two favorite characters from 'The Breaker' do not appear in this sequel and hence I'm left with the decent protagonist to carry this series. The fact that it turns into somewhat of a harem is pretty disappointing since the previous serious was pretty straightforward on the romance aspect. But I digress, the action is still as awesome as ever and to be honest that's the main attraction of this series and for me since the story and characters are still pretty decent I still like this series. The Breaker was awesome. New Waves is very good.

The only thing I hate about it is the chapter's are too SHORT! LoL! It's a great Martial Art manga and definitely one of the best. The story progress is Slow and Steady but I still love it. It takes a few chapters to get to the point. My advice is read only after 5 or more chapter's already released if you're impatient otherwise it'll be torture.

Just do not expect much history development for a single chapter and you will like it.

The chapters seems to be shortm mostly because almost nothing new happens nor that we give a crap.

40% is just a re-cap
40% repetition of the last chapter, same moves, maybe a diferrent place or point of view
20% some new that add badly nothing to the current flow of history of the chapter

I would say this is a frustanting manga for hooking up it's reader by only to see if something will finally happen.

I started reading this season from the day it was published, I was really excited but when I look back, I just see a pointless haze. The new characters are so depth-less and annoying. The numbers grows with each new chapter! It's hard to keep up with them.
I agree with @MatrixM, the harem part is seriously irritating. The jealousy, cheese and predictable behavior of all the women around Shioon is nerve wrecking. After a gap of 2-3 months, I catch up on this manga, but nothing really happens except that any new girl that appears, "mysteriously" falls in love with Shioon -.-
I liked the character 'Cool Guy', true to his name, I found him cool and Shioon, a fool. -_-
Frankly I'v forgotten what I had read back in 2010(When the series started) Now I start a chapter with a sigh. My respect for the first season is what keeps me going. I will definitely not drop reading, what with the ART BEING HEAVENLY.
I'd like to convey this message to the author though, PLZZZ BRING THE BREAKER BACK ON IT'S FEET *Wolf Cry*

The first series was very fast-paced, one thing after another. This one is in it for the long haul.

I'm not among those who say it's crap until he can use some form of martial arts, I still thoroughly enjoyed it before then.

But it's definitely a step-down. E.g Shion's been building a little harem, kinda like the authors are trying to cater to a larger audience. The art style itself is more...childish. (also I'm very confused as to what his current relationship with Saehee actually is....>.>)
And it seems strange when you consider Nine Arts Dragon's fight against that guy witht hat fist technique, you kinda wonder where all the high-level practitioners are coming from.
