I like the first arc of Bleach, okay the second and the third are great too, but then it's just dragging along and the author seems to just added the stories to fill in the chapter and popularity.
I like how the author can make the stories of each characters well and developed. But he (still) couldn't make a good shonen manga, the fighting scene is just, I don't know, lack of something than the other shonen manga like Dragon Ball or Naruto have.
I really do have a feeling that Bleach's author should reduce the fighting scene and add more drama in the story (cause I think the good part of Bleach is the drama side).

Like many said, when this manga first came out it was pretty damn good. But pretty quickly it turns infuriatingly drawn out both story-wise and artistically. Good lord the mangaka tend to spend whole CHAPTERS just drawing background scenery or extreme close ups of somebody's eyes/nose/toe jams. What a GOOD mangaka can do in one chapter takes this f***er TEN chapters to achieve. Why? Because he has some kind of turn-on for drawing a whole page of nothing but clouds/a ruined city/mountains/(insert other random scenery that has nothing to do with the frakking plot) instead of telling a STORY. I have no real idea why the hell I still read this shit. Very rarely, like win the lottery rare, the plot will actually re-appear from the depths of nothingness for a chapter or two before being engulfed once more into mind numbing page wasters. To the few who have not read this manga yet, I envy you, you still have your sanity.

EDIT: Ok so I've been VERY sporadically checking on random chapters as they're released and now I'm TRULY pissed. Ichigo's got quincy powers now!? Why not make him just the universal god of the bleach universe. The author is basically going, "Hmm let's add another Shyamalan twist by giving him yet another race-defined power." Argh my rage is preventing me from writing coherently for too long. If only mangaupdates lets people rate manga in the negatives range. I'd give this turd of a series -9000.

Bleach is the one manga that I can read over and over again and I still won't get enough of it. I love the characters, everyone just seems so badass when they go all out...but anyway!

I am sure that there might be lots of people agreeing with me on this...where exactly it is going right now?? All the previous arc were awesome...I seriously thought that it was going to end with Aizen losing but then we have something else. I just can't seem to see where the author is going with the story. It's cool that he found a way to give Ichigo his powers back....ok then, what now

I really hope that bleach don't turn out like those manga that were suppose to end ages ago and they just draaaa.......gggg forever turning them into "man that was cool but now it's plain boring and annoying" kind of manga!!

I have readed all the chapters of bleach, i did also follow the anime, but quited, because the manga is much better(Y) and all i can say, is that bleach is still my number one manga that i have readed among the other manga's

I loved Bleach at first. I read shoujo and shounen manga and am perfectly fine with all the action scenes (in fact I love them). Anyways, here's my reactions to the series:
1.) Agent of the Shinigami arc- cool
2.) Soul Society/ Rescue Rukia- GO GET 'EM ICHIGO!
3.) Arrancar- hmmmmm nice
4.) Hueco Mundo- mehhhh (it was interesting at first but then got really repetitive....except that part with grimmjow XD)
5.) Fake Karakura Town arc- ok...just win already ichigo
6.) Fullbring- wth just end the series already...not again

Bleach is cool. The idea is cool. But it's stretching way too thin.

How can you not love this manga? The story is great and the characters are interesting and cool (excluding Orihime who just annoys me). Yes the Hueco Mundo arc got a little stale but it was still amazing! If you haven't read this yet then what are you waiting for?

Great until awful script, deus ex machina, recycled concepts n plotty holes blotched the entire thing up -_- The initial concept was awesome but when fight scenes are dragged every chapter and unnecessary stare-downs fill each panel you know that Kubo is just buying time to pull things out of the air to fill the company's pocket with little kids' coins

The first "rescue rukia" arc was fairly decent, but after that, this manga just hits rock bottom. Throughout the series, you will notice the scenes and intrusion plans are overly chiche'd, having to fight one mid-boss after another to get to the "big boss". This series to me is ALMOST as bad as naruto or one-piece. I was always the type to follow through on a series, even if I hated it. But naruto, one-piece, and bleach all got to a point where I couldn't even stand to look at another page of it. Even though I hate this series, it is not fair to other readers if I give it a bad rating out of pure spite. As a manga rater, I say this deserves a solid 6.5/10.

Started off OK, with a relatively cool and fresh idea of shinigamis doing their job...

However the plot seems to be lacking and feels rather dragging and boring.

The thing i hate most about Bleach is that in every single chapter during the battle, and I do mean literally EACH AND EVERY battle chapter, someone has to make that dumb face of 'omghowdidyoudothat' surprise face. Always, without fail, you see that same face over and over. Worse still, in the next chapter, whoever who made that dumb face always has another thing up their sleeves to put on the dumb face to his opponent. Each battle has to go through this dumb face transfer a couple of times before it ends, and this is when I decided I'll stop reading.

Also character design seems to be a little weak - in the sense that there are too many of those characterless/faceless/personality less monsters - and the fashion appears somewhat too black-&-white-ish...

Funny thing though, I am still keeping up with the weekly releases, just so I still know what will happen next. I was so happy when the invincible, almight imba Aizen was beaten because I thought that was when it will end. But alo and behold, there's still more stuff to drag on...

So now I'm stuck with this dilemma, to read or not to read .. ;p

This manga started out really, really, really good. I absolutely loved it up until Ichigo saves Rukia. After that the manga gets really boring, drawn out, and repetative. The fight scenes especially get extremely long. The plot no longer seems that interesting and about the only good thing that happens later on in the manga is that Hitsugaya seems to show up a lot more. Orihime just gets more and more annoying and one of the most interesting character, Ulquiorra, ends up dying. So overall I think this manga started out really well, but like a lot of other good mangas like Naruto and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, it's just getting to be way too long. I think the mangaka just doesn't want to end this manga even though it should've ended a long time ago.
