Best of Oh! Great

I know it's not saying much, but this is Oh! Great's best work. If you go past the first volumes, you'll see it's good (well, at least better than Burn-Up or Tenjho Tenge in my opinion). Artwork is great, as always.

Well... What can I say...

Well I'd say that this is EXACTLY what I would have expected from Oh! Great: Random ecchiness and a failed attempt at a story...
That said, the story this time isn't as horrible as one would think, it's mildly entertaining, so I guess if you just want to waste some time this isn't a bad choice. But if you are searching for something captivating... continue your search.
Edit: Forget what I said about the plot being entertaining. It fails pure and simple. As always.

I would like to point out that if you guys based ratings on mangas from the beginning of the series you get no where. Air Gear at the beginning is a bit boring and repetitive as an ecchi series. Sure I admit I just read it at first for the art, being it was done by O!G, I assumed it would just be art whole. Of course unlike most of these people who rated it lower, I actually went a bit further than they did. I discovered it was actually an opening to what would open to Minami Ikki as he would venture out into a much more chaotic battle to become a king of one of the roads (read if you ant to know what I mean bigrazz) Battle Styles are great with lots of in-depth action. As a part of the scanlation group doing this you may think it's a biased rating. But I had been reading Air Gear and loved it a 100+ chapters before I even started. There's a lot of series out there that get easily boring (One Piece, Bleach, Naruto of course, this is in my opinion) but it goes to show if you stick with it, it'll turn into something Oh! Great.

if all you read is jump shonen mangs, i guess this might be a (small) step up

It's not as bad as tenten I guess, depending on how you look at it. Once again, the only thing it has going for it is the art, which is pretty good I suppose, but there's a lot of stuff out there with better (and a story to boot). Besides, hentai notwithstanding, art in manga is like diction in prose - it can refine a story, but the story is still what really matters.

it is a really nice manga , yes a bit absurd but its Oh! Great its to be expected but it is one of his better one compared to T.T and as far as a shounen manga goes it cool , anything below a 7 is unjust to this , just a personal opinion

GREAT manga

the storyline is different and interesting. it's funny, fun, nostalgic(?), and creates a longing inside you... a longing to just FLY. It doesn't just concentrate on just the storyline, characters and Air Trek (AT).. it concentrates on all three.

Air Gear is simply one of the most amazing mangas ever made.

The most original and entertaining ongoing manga out there

I can honestly say that this series has captured my imagination and demanded my focus more than any other ongoing manga out there. Each chapter is, as noted in almost all the previous comments, drawn to absolute perfection. Most of the gripe appears to be about the story, but I really don't see where such objections are founded. I have found the character development to be fantastic, consisting of a medium to large cast of unique characters who I have come to appreciate more and more as the series progresses. The story is suitably grandiose without sacrificing the little plot elements that make long running mangas stand out amongst the plethora of recent releases.

My only real objection in this series is that the characters are ostensibly in middle school...? That is not apparent in the themes, art style, or plot, but occasionally gets alluded to over the course of the series. I think this is just ridiculous and ignore these comments when I see them because they really make no sense.

This is my favorite manga, it has amazing art, its funny, and the plot gets better as the story goes, in all it is very good. Don't under no circumstance base this manga upon the first chapters. People who give up on the first few chapters are fools, just keep reading and it captivates you. The more the story opens up the better, and it becomes unpredictable as you go through it.

The story is hopeless and except of good the art it's not worth a look. All in all it's B O R I N G! Ares's way better!
