Description
The end of the Edo period, the Bakumatsu (between 1853 and 1867), was an era of uncertainty and chaos, a time when the line between right and wrong was indistinguishable. During this era, Hijikata Toushizou, determined to live by his own rules, led his reformed Shinsengumi--formerly a ragtag group of mercenaries that became the elite Samurai fighting force of the shogunate--to glory. This is the story of his life.

So far this is an awesome manga, but I'll "only" give it 9.5 cuz its only 10 vols... but since I havent read it to the end I cant say if thats actually good or bad, hopefully the end fits well so I will be able to change it to a full 10/10 otherwise... I guess I'll just gonna keep it at 9.5
Am I the only one to think this series is super-underestimated?
for once there is a series that portrait the Shensengumi as they were (Bushido)
with all the values dissonances and not as an escort group of Bishies like alot of other mangas
well if you LOVED Historical Drama's like Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto Anime ,Path of The assassin, Wolf and the Cub and Satsuma Gishiden then this manga is for you otherwise don't bother to bash this Manga
