Description
Nagakawa Shinichi and Sanada Yuuki both get involved in an accident and die together, but they are given a chance to live again. A voice lets them survive for seven more days. However, after the time limit, one of the two must die again.
Also, their lives will be shared, including emotions (guilt) and physical sensations (pain). They are told not to leave the other's side, else both of them will die. Now, with each of them wanting to save his/her own life, how will the next seven days of non-separation be like? Will they get along?

The one-shot was in no way lacking but this expansion is really pleasing even with the unnecessary drama. The slower pacing of the relationship build makes it even more meaningful. I can't decide which ending is better, the oneshot seems more impactful but the expanded is just better for storytelling. One of Seo Koijis less anger inducing works.(MC's are not stupid and are likeable from the start.)
A good bittersweet ending

I'm usually not a fan of bittersweet endings, but it worked on this.
Mainly because

you knew one would die at the end unless the author decided to throw a curveball.
They fell in love and he decides to let her live. She has a child and the Shinichi lives on through the child.

I loved how the author developed the characters feeling in the serialization as much as he did in the one shot. It was an interesting twist from the one shot, with both setting and ending tweaks. But one thing left me a bit annoyed and its just cause I'm being picky. I wanted to see how bad the ex-girlfriend and best friend feel knowing he really did die after the 7 days.
The oneshot had a better ending than the remake.

Now that the manga has ended, I can make a review:
The original oneshot was a compact and simple story of two people falling in love, even though one is fated to die. The major difference in story between the oneshot and the remake is the ending.
In the original
To be frank, the remake didn't add substantial development or plot that the oneshot didn't have. Sure it added more character development, but every page in the oneshot had served a purpose, and was paced perfectly, whereas the remake did falter in the development of the main characters, while sometimes getting distracted by the introduction of side characters.
Overall, a great read. A wonderful story of why some people choose to die for the ones they love, it helps you understand the motivation behind love, and the unreserved compassion that man can feel for those he loves.
That said, the story didn't gain much from being remade, the oneshot imho is the superior work. But well done nonetheless, Seo Kouji.

why not do this near the end when they tried to kill themselves? is parting in some minutes are that hurting? yeah.. maybe..
Good oneshot though, aside from that plothole, the romance is good and the the tragedy is overwhelming....

For a oneshot, it is plenty good.

Most of the oneshot I read doesn't have decent ending. Well, couldn't blame the mangaka, maybe they try to make it a series. Only a few oneshot could bring story to a decent closure, and this is one of the few.
As for the series counterpart of this story, it did what the oneshot couldn't do, character development. I think the mangaka tried to make readers empathize the story and the character more with this series. Will see how well it comes out.

The ending twist is somewhat ... disappointing (a bit forceful and Korean-drama like, which I dislike most). Should ve extended to some more chapters to captivate the love developing between 2 characters, since IMO its the best thing about this one-shot (and is what this mangaka is best at, after reading some of his works).
There is a series that does extend this story, somewhat changes the plot to be more logical and is at chapter 3 at the moment of this writing. It is however way less emotional evoking :\

The one-shot was great. To be honest I find most romances that aren't tragedies boring >.> And though it was kinda predictable, it was still emotional and done well.
the series doesn't seem to be off to a great start. In fact I was thinking that this was better off as a one-shot but seeing as there's a 7-day time limit I suppose it won't go full retard due to running too long for its premise.
As of ch1, it's already fallen to using nudity/ecchi. :/
EDIT: Right, ch3, it's pretty predictable and shithouse. stick to the one-shot then move on.

The ending is sad but there wasn't enough chapters that I can really relate to the characters. I agree that the manga should have at least 7 chapters one for each day because only 1 chapter doesn't make this manga that great. The oneshot is good but the execution like imapepper2 said is poor.
