I use internet explorer and firefox, but I'm not fond of firefox which for some reason people swear by... It isn't that great.

Anyways, I use Chrome for everyday things, Firefox for a game I play and IE for school.

Haha at the amount of people that voted for Firefox, I, like majority of voters use Firefox, I use Firefox because I think it's easier to use that Internet Explorer and it's more secure. Last time I used Google Chrome my computer became a virus nest and we had to get my computer wiped.
But now! with the power of Norton Security! noone can defeat me! BWAHAHA! [World Domination]

I used Opera and I really liked the features (speed dial, mouse gestures) but then I moved to a place with slow connection it took forever to load a page so I decided to use Firefox at work. I really like the feature where you can type just part of a name of a website instead of the address but I think it's become too much of a resource hog that I use Chrome now. Don't really like it but there's just now way I'm using Firefox or IE at work since the PC is really slow.
At home I used IE8 on my laptop. Loved it but then I decided to try IE9 beta and it's become slower. And I don't know how to rollback to IE8..

IE9 Beta is a Speed Demon, and the latest "Stable" release of Firefox is about as Stable as a cork in a typhoon. Chrome is iffy and uses up alot of resources, and Safari on Windows sucks. So IE8-9 has always been the good mix of Stablity, Usability, and Speed. Not so sure about Opera, but i used it once and didn't really like it.
And yes, i run tech support at my school and am the one of the few IE users left. Most of my friends have swtiched over to Firefox, then Chrome, complaining about each in turn. IE has always worked for me, and i've stuck with them through thick and thin.
ALL HAIL IE9!

The latest Non-Beta Firefox (Still havn't tried the beta yet) is a major crapshoot. Reliability issues out the butthole, bloated as hell, and isn't much better on speed. Firefox isn't as Zippy as it used to be. That title is now being fought between IE9 and Chrome. Chrome is fast, i'll give it that, but too stripped-down and uses too much resources for such a "Light" browser. I caught it using 400mb of ram for Facebook once, while my IE8 was using just a hair over 270mb and running at the same speed. Not worth it.
Just give it some time. I Betaed IE7 and IE8 as well, and as more people adopt it, it'll run much smoother. Betas always take some time to adjust, since the coding is made for a older browser. IE9 uses a new JScript engine called "Chakra", so that's got some wrinkles to smooth out. IE8 also had trouble in the beginning, and you'll love IE9 even more once the beta advances some more.

Gotta admit, hardcore IE fanboys are pretty rare these days. Most people that use IE are the "I just use whatever came installed on my computer" types.
I don't know what platform you're on, but the FF4 beta I'm running is pretty darned fast, and way more stable than the IE9 beta I tried on a friends equally well-spec'd comp (I don't use Windows, so I don't bother with IE on my own comps).
Neither FF nor Chromium/Chrome are light by my standards anyway. Sure, they're usually less bloated than what Microshit rolls out, but they're far from light. Besides, IE doesn't come with a working Vimperator extension (an absolute necessity for me), as far as I know, and many of it's keyboard shortcuts are pretty asinine (at least in default configuration). These days, I tend to go with Midori if I want something light and 'out-of-the-box', or Uzbl if I want something more modular/scriptable.
E-links still beats em all, obviously. =P
