I'm actually not afraid of death. It will happen to me sooner or later so why fear something that is unavoidable? I do fear leaving my loved ones behind though. I know they will be fine without me but I won't be there to help them if they need it and I hate that. >.<

There may be an afterlife or there may not be, I will probably never know and I don't really want to. I would like to be surprised and see what happens when it happens. ^.^

The fear of death will dissappear once you're actually dead.

I think the most fear death only because of anticipation towards it. It's like having an oral presentation, and being nervous before it for unexplicable reasons, and once you actually do it, all the nervousness is gone.

I think it's kind of like that.

You mean dead? If so well you don't have any emotions cause your dead, so duh? dead If you mean right before death, then I could prove you wrong with some situations I've been to/heard.

I firmly believe that death is not the end of existence, so it is not death that I fear, but the experience of dying. What will it feel like to die? Will it be painful? ect...

nope, unless it's burning to death or something so unbelievably painful it makes you wanna settle for being shanked to death.....

basically it's the means that matters the most....most people will tell you "no i'm not scared" because death in itself is essentially nothing, so no logical person would be scared but, if they're asked "are you scared of being tortured to death?", thats another story because theres something there to actually fear....

Polite bump.

I am scared - frightened - uncertain; whatever adjective you want to use. Though that's only human instinct to fear death (the end of your survival). Most likely, nothing will be there. In the case, you are wrong, then well, you'll be damning away in hell for eternity.

The fear of death will disappear anyways, once you're dead. What's truly frightening is that the world will forget about you... No one remembers the peasant folk anymore that died in 1254. Yet, they were similar to us. They had dreams and aspirations too. Family and friends, thoughts and endeavors... The majority of us are destined to be forgotten. We're just pawns without brains, trying to deal with our "troublesome" lives. roll

So scary~

Haven't really thought about it much, I'd just be pisss if i died before i get to find out the end of my favourite manga. You think that counts as unfinished business to become a ghost? dead

Yes I am.
Right now at least.
But that fear will probably dissipate when I'm 50 or something.

no im not particularly scared of dying, but i wouldn't want to die in an embarrasing way.

and i dont believe in an after life, a body starts to die from the minute it is born and when it's dead, it's dead, there's no soul that goes some where based on your actions.

hmmm...
I'd say yes AND no because I believe in life after death, so that lessens the scare. Also, I'd think I'd feel better if I died in a peaceful way rather than in an accident or getting squashed. dead
And when i die, I want to be OLD. Because, by then, (hopefully) all the mangas I'm currently reading will be finished! I'll also have done what I wanted to do in life.

I have no fear of death. How I die is a different matter.

Points:

1. Acceptance of death is easier when you ask yourself: Do I want to stay here doing the same stuff over and over for eternity?

2. Death leads to non existence, just like the time before you were born.

3. Before that time, make sure you leave the world a better place than when you first arrived.

I'm not afraid of dying.
I'm afraid of dying with regrets.

Well...I'm afraid of dying a painful death to be exact...for example burning to death, drowning, etc...

But I'm not afraid of death itself...it's just like sleeping...forever..
