probs sailor moon went right up to the 200th episode then it ended so then i just searched for more manga/anime which then was onepiece, bleach, naruto and fruits basket well something in that order

My first manga {I think, if not the first then possibly the third} was Violinist of Hameln and its still not fully scanlated I remember I played the SNES game first and decided to hunt down more info.

My first anime, I think was Sailor Moon. But it was probably Voltron, seeing as I glimpsed it the other day as I was passing Boomerang and kinda remember watching it.

now that I think about it, my first anime was pokemon and my first manga was dragonball...back then I just didn't know they were anime and manga.

Well it depends on if you count the first time as the first time I consciously watched anime. When I was younger I watched Gundam Wing and Dragonball Z and Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network, but that was before I knew what anime was. I thought they were just awesometastic cartoons.

First manga was...probably Love Hina. That was so long ago. I read it by opening them in some horrible image viewer and maximizing one page at a time. God bless CDisplay. Too bad all of the scans of it are so small that I can't read them on my huge screen or I'd probably read it again.

hmmm i think my first anime was DBZ on toonami on cartoon network. But i dont count that since i didnt even know what the hell an anime was back then. So i'd have to say Ouran High School Host Club (yes, shoujo. I know. But i was a noob to the anime world and i didnt know there were shoujo and shounen animes.)

As for mangas, well this may not be the earliest one but its the earliest that i can still remember: H2

Common sense just isn't that common

My first anime would have been something done by Hayao Miyazaki - probably either Kiki's Delivery Service or My Neighbor Totoro. And I still love those movies today...

As for anime with episodes, it would have been Naruto, I guess, and in accordance with that, my first manga was also Naruto. After finishing all the episodes before filler started, I switched to the manga and read it all through. That's probably one of the reasons why I like it so much; it was like the beginning of everything for me in manga/anime. But besides that, it's still a great manga, even if I'm not that into it anymore.

Haha, can't remember the first manga, but I remember that my first anime was Gundam Wing...although im not a big fan on mecha now.

My first anime would be... Astroboy, gosh.. I miss the black and white TV with the bright orange body! Just pull the little know to turn the TV on!

If I am not mistaken, I remember reading Dragon Ball as it was coming out, waiting month by month until the next volume came out was torture! xD

Sailor moon may not be the best manga or anime, but it was one of the few available at the time that caught my eye. Like any good anime/manga it was my so to say "gateway" into the world of Japanes culture.

anime: Dragonball it came on like super super early and i almost always missed it i saw it a few times to remember what the hell it was tho being a 90's baby is so kickass

manga: was actually a manwha it was ragronark
