I started reading manga in middle school. And I'm been watchiing anime since way baack.
My first manga was, I believe, Card Captor Sakura. Not bad for a first manga, no?
My first anime was one of those old school ones like Doraemon or Mahoujin Guruguru Doki Doki Legend or Dr. Slump. They were so cute! Or maybe early works of Miyazaka Hayao or maybe even Salior Moon.

The first anime I ever saw was Pokemon, but I don't know if that counts since I tried to be in the room as little as possible while my kids watched it.
The first anime I watched willingly was Ranma 1/2.
First manga was also Ranma 1/2.

My first manga was Ramna1/2 and my first anime was DBZ, and Sailor Moon, also teenage mutant ninja turtles though i'm not sure you would consider that an anime. This was around the age of six, though i didn't start reading manga until i was 15.

First anime is either Dragonball or Sailor Moon, both were huge in Canada for a while.
First manga... Hmm. I'm pretty sure it was Hikaru no Go. The ending of the anime left me wanting more and so I looked around for the manga which was supposed to go on further. Short-term wise it was a bad decision (if you know how Hikaru no Go ends) but from then on I started reading manga more proactively, and later on as my bandwith became capped I made the complete transition from anime to manga.
