Malaysia...tak boleh
If it's LAT or something, then go ahead , but that's already in english
Like someone previously said, the newer generations now try too hard to emulate manga style...
Ones I've seen are pretty mediocre...so NO, you shouldn't

Just to put in my two bits: I say go for it, as long as the quality is there ^_^
I don't care where it came from or what language it started out in as long as it's worth reading. So, now I'll be looking forward to some new stuff. (And I appreciate that there's a lot of stuff not worth reading out there, so I hope you guys can find a good one.)

I agree! I would like to read Thai comic The 13th Quiz Show from My Mania by Eakasit Thairat because it was adapted into a cool psychological thriller-black comedy movie, Beloved 13. The chance of seeing it scanlated is almost zero.
Someone told me there are Thai movies adapted into comics like The Bedside Detective, Shutter and The Unborn. Original works too, like The Screwy Monkey Gang (slice of life comedy about a group of uni drop-outs), and Half Fear (everyone hunts for a girl who has a psychic ability to make her victims killed by their inner fears).
It's a shame that scanlations are mostly restricted to Japan, China/Hong Kong, and Korea. There's a bigger world out there.

BEN!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Gardenie
Malaysian comics are OK(though I rarely read any that interests me enough) but Ben's work was on a different level.Winning the Kodansha International Manga award at that, losing to some American for first place, was a big step forward for Malaysians in the manga scene.I have some of the volumes of LeGardennie stashed away in mint condition because its just so good.I actually cried in a few pages. And the art is just amazing.Yea it has manga influences, but it has its own unique touch to it.A soft easy on the eyes feel. Not to mention its in full color I need to buy the last volume now though....
Terima kasih Ben,dari penyokong setia

Woot! I love Ben's works too!
Mind if I ask? Do they publish all the one-shots made by Ben in Gempak's serialisation??I love the one-shots the most. It's waaaaaay better than some *COUGH*Japanese romance one-shots.

I think Gempak owns all the copyrights even though Ben drew it,but he still gets royalties from the sales. So yea its still selling.Ben has a real good feel for romace and I don't even read shoujo much,so it says alot.

Oh noo...>_</// I wish they could make a compilation of all his one-shots
..that would be the awesome-st thing ever!
I agree, Ben is very good in making romance stories/characters rather than Action packed themed comics.
Btw! MALAYSIA BOLEH!
and ofcourse I would be rooting for my country if anyone EVER produced mangas like you malaysians!

Sadly, Ben has already leaved Gempak. So, both of his best komik; Fatal Chaos and Le Gardenie was being continued by other artists, making the story and plot very horrible as well as having ridiculous endings, despite of those artists hard effort copying Ben's drawing style.
So, if anybody was thinking of scanlating Fatal Chaos or Le Gardenie, I would like to give my opinion. Please don't do it! It would be a complete waste of time and money! The first half part that was done by Ben are excellent, but the second half part all the way to the ending that was done by the substitute artists was rushed and completely unacceptable!
