#1. I don't want to think i will cast away and disappear after i die. Rather i have 2 choices of underworld and heaven.

#2. I once thought how humans were made and got the logic of living. Science explains, but if everything is logical it is not the world. Sometime you need to understand the thing people made up or it might be people think it's right.

#3. Adults use god to lead us children to the right path, using this and that saying "god tells us to do this so we can help that". Just like right now, god is telling us to help the enviroment for the love of mother nature, in return we save our lives smile wink grin

Even scientists postulates that somewhere in this infinite space, all possibilities must exist somewhere.

Quote from Savantsage
God must be merciful, If God exists. Otherwise, he would've killed us centuries ago.

Thats a really good point. Well the reason I believe is because God had to basically reveal himself in my life. He had to litterally break me and have me sit down and reveal himself to me. It took just a simple prayer to get things going for me. I had to pray, God are you even there, are you even listening to me?

I might be thinking that i am trying to lie to myself. I prays and keep on thinking god is saying "all right, all right, i'll do this for you". Because usually whenever i pray is for something god will do for me. I think faith and destiny is also from god ^__^

Hmm... People in general believe in God because they WANT to, it's not something you try to decipher through using your brain, more something felt in the heart. If God didn't exist, it would be a bleak world with no hope and we all know how much humans love hoping. We believe because we want to believe there's hope for a better life after death (if you consider that a valid reason).

@chueisha I quite like the idea of a true death and disappearing after I die. At least there are no regrets of my actions laugh

day by day, month by month and year by year--forever changing @_@

Yes.....People need God. But as far as we know, in a scientific point of view, God could be a really really powerful being born millennium before the Big Bang. In that case, it is probable to say, he exists as a powerful being wise and experienced.

Quote from Zubz313
I have a question of those that say God exists, doesn't exist or maybe, how many people have actually gone out and tried to find him? I think it's great if you have an opinion but it would be even better if there was a reason behind it.

Reason? That's silly. Every way you'd find evidence of god would just be explained by science and made worthless (e.g. Anneliese Michel aka Emily Rose). Even philosophy has failed to prove or disprove god. It's a pretty hopeless undertaking.

I think your absolutely right. Faith really is a gift from God. I consider myself really lucky to know God on such a personal level. Thats another thing I really would like to bring up and that is. God is a very personal God. He knows all the struggles we go through in life and he listens to our prayers even when we don't think so. These is a really cool switchfoot lyric "It's so much more than empty conversations filled with empty words" I really believe that. And I have seen God work in my life for sure.

1Pe 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
1Pe 1:9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Scientists never said God doesn't exist. Scientists just say we didn't find God flying on top of the clouds.

<-- Fails to see the relevance in this discussion

Are we disputing if God is the traditional Almighty One sitting on a throne up in heaven or if He's some modern day version similar to Bruce Almighty? @__@
