Yes I have. About 100 or so people. Most of them I met during a lan in which me and a lot of my online friends went to. I've also met some people from MMO guilds, and three people in a scanlation group I'm in.

No, I haven't. There are some people I might want to meet, but most of them live abroad.

Never...

Had a chance one or two times... but due to sudden shifts in deadlines and over timing on work and studies... I never managed to make it. It always ended in an apology phone call/message that I couldn't make it because blah blah blah. none

However, I did meet a few anime enthusiasts on a train journey once and we've become online friends smile
Yes, it was the other way around for me smile

I've only met with one. I met him at first through a game, then we started talking about t.v. then it lead to talking about where we live, we noticed we live in same city. Then after I learned my friend knew him too.

Hmm, 3 years ago, I found out that this guy I met on IRC lived in the city next to mine, and he was the same grade as me (and I even asked some good questions to confirm it). We even shared rides to AnimeExpo 2006. Currently, we're both going to UCLA too (although I don't talk to him all that much...)

And at AX 06, I also met another dude I knew online that works for one of the stores in the exhibit hall. Got some free stuff~ And I saw him again last year in AX 08 (ya, I skipped 07...) and even helped sell stuff for him. Hopefully doing the same this year!

And also at AX 08, I met this guy working at the same booth the guy above worked at, and I found out he's one grade younger than me and goes to the same high school...and I never met him before, haha

Within the last year at UCLA, I've met two fellow scanlators that are both freshmen with me. Amazingly, one is the roommate of one of my high school friends.

And I also had a fansubber friend stay over the night because he was visiting UCLA for an interview with the medical school. He goes to Berkeley and was applying for medical school here

I got to know one girl of my age. At that dark time we wrote letters to each other and sms. She lives by the sea and invited me and my mother to visit her during summer. We had a not so bad time but now we barely connect. Apparantly I somehow didn't confirm her quite immature expects. Besides there were political disagreements (that was totally stupid).

And I hang out at one forum and users from my city set up a meeting like twice a year. But no friends there.

Still haven't, but if I really do go to animeexpo this summer, I will bet that I will meet someone from this forum without knowing or realizing it.

Lots of times. I've met between 100-150 online friends in various gatherings/meetings.

I drove to Alabama to pick up a friend from Sweden who was travelling around the USA (staying with online friends), and after staying with me for a week, we drove from Georgia up to New Jersey to a gathering to meet a whole bunch more of our line friends. (Around 60 people at the gathering.)

I flew to Minnesota to meet another bunch of online friends. (Around 25 that time.)

And I've met several others on an individual basis. All of this was while I was in college.

And, several of you already know that I eventually married one of the guys I met from online. =)

Now, I admit to making some dumb mistakes as far as when and how I met some of them. (I was more trusting than I should have been in a few cases.) However, I got lucky and nothing unfortunate ever happened to me. I realize in hindsight how bad I was, though. Most of the time I was fairly safe about it, and I recommend it, as long as you take some basic precautions about letting people know where you are and who you plan to be with.

Problem there is that a lot of the MU people live all over the world... scattered :/

That's what would make it extra cool! biggrin

yes, I did. It's a nice fate and coincidence actually smile want to hear?

I used barely myspace and he's the only GUY friend I have. He's one year younger than me. I met him in myspace when I was.. like..13 years old and he one year old ahead. For one year, we used myspace as our communicating system and also MSN. Then, when I turned 14, he asked my phone number after 3 months lost in contact. Then, we upgrade our distant-friendship. Ok, let me tell you. He's completely a playboy if you ask me. Haha. At that time, he countlessly had changed girlfriend and I used to call him "Top Casanova" meanwhile, I, don't have any boyfriend so our friendship is a bit.. off actually? With him playing around with girls meanwhile I just sit and have a cup of "manga" bigrazz . Believed it or not, on march 2008, I met him.. in his school. Boarding school, because of my mother is a judges so she was invited to. I don't had an idea that the school he went to. So, he text message me ( on that night before we met ) don't ignore him and talk to him. You know what?

I RAN OFF. Yes, I ran off after I saw him watching me with his two friends. He called my name but I just ignored it, horrible right?
For your information, why I don't have boyfriend is because... <-- I'm afraid of boys. Haha.

Every time I recall that "little" thing, I get bright red. Oh my god. >.<;; My mum just laugh at me after seeing "evening soap drama" that happened right in front of her eyes xD
