I think a belt would be more helpful...
Are you wearing really baggy pants or are you sagging your pants? I don't really see why else you would be tripping on them.

My fear is losing contact or communication abilities with my surrounding. Loneliness is my Nemesis.

My darkest secret is nothing. Honesty throughout my life. Most of the time anyway.

Cockroach. Ack.
I had a dissection to do in college. My classmate had to open the thing up for me cause i couldn't, my hands were far too shaky for that (dropped it twice, and i was laughing a bit madly). But it was okay once it was pinned down to the board. I just hate them so i get pretty sadistic.
As for why, well, i've lived in Morocco for 6 years and whatever species of those creepy fellows you can think of, they have it. Once i had one caught in my hair while showering (yes, i know you saw that one in a movie but it happens). And of course i got out of the shower jumping around and squealing. I got my revenge on this one: burned it. Another time i woke up because my arm was tickling and found myself face to face with a big one slowly moving its feelers. Another squealing-jumping occasion.
Seriously, you can even smell them in a house when it's infested!

As for my darkest secret, it's personnal. But i too had a hard time feeling at peace with myself, went trough the self-inflicting pain trip (not too seriously), ate compulsively, finally cured myself when i found stability with my husband. Very common story.

my biggest fear is temporaly that the new Linkin Park album gonna suck........

Really hope it doesn't, I was a huge fan back in the earlier LP days.

My secret? ..... ;)

Fear? Call it stupid, but my biggest fear right now is my cat dying. She's sleeping on my lap at the moment ^^

I'm also 'slightly' arachnaphobic.

Eh-heh...Would you still be 'slightly' arachnaphobic if you heard the news report about the two spiders living in a kid's ear?
biggrin

Eww Eww Eww OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! dead The cockroach in the shower story has totally freaked me out. I'd probably run out of the house completely naked to get away from it. The fact that you are still alive and didn't die of a heart attack makes you a very brave woman.

Remind me never to live in Morocco. lol

And sorry I shared so much (too much), minna-san. <3
/me loves you all biggrin

ahhh....My second fear. The fear of water. Deep water. Forever swallowed by the water. Slowly sinking to the bottom with the weight of water pushing the air out of your lung. Only to be replaced by incoming liquid.

Holy crap otakubaybay! I have almost all of the same fears, except I'm not too afraid of dead fish, just fish in the ocean.

Wow, that's pretty crazy! laugh

I have a couple of irrational fears I thought of during the day that I wanted to add...

I am scared of mirrors and windows. Well, not really scared, but I'm wary of them. I've been scared of mirrors since I was like 5 when I swore I saw some scary, bloody chick standing behind me in a dark mirror [like "Bloody Mary" or something] in my mom's bathroom. And I'll never forget it laugh.

Windows creep me out a little because you never know what will come out of them next! No, seriously, you've all seen the cars on the news that lose control or something and fly into businesses and homes. Just thinking about it happening makes me want to move this computer across the room and my manga elsewhere laugh Not to mention, I don't trust the people who live in the apartment complex I live in. Most of the people who hang around outside, but within my apartment complex's gates, are wannabe gangsters and posers, so I wouldn't be surprised if I heard gunshots or if there was a gunfight right outside my window cry

So you're scared of water? Or just drowning? confused

@otakubaybay, wow... I though your first list was long... you really didn't have to add anymore to that lol.
Actually your beyond any kind of phobia... you probably enter the domain of paranoia! I think you should really try to get over some of these fears.
Oh and another thing, next time use the edit button, some clever usage of quotes and spacing. Don't double post k? smile

---------- <- see "clever" usage of spacing lol...

Ah well, I might just as well post my fears since I posted here right?
Well, to bad, I don't have any kind of fear really worth mentioning. Well I'm a bit of a health freak... So yeah I hate all that I consider to be "dirty" (including most insects and specially roaches dead ), but I don't worry much about my health otherwise... (I just avoid "dirty" stuff that's all, I eat junk food, I don't go see a doctor for every little thing...)
Actually last time I went to a doctor, was 9 years ago I think...

I dislike doctors too but I still go when I need to get a routine checkup no wait I haven't gone since I was small oh i'm thinking about the dentist lol.

@Otakubaybay I disagree with stealth about you trying to conquer those fears. How few people are as unique as that. It's wierd but in a good way. Don't conquer any of them. Hmm only problem is in mangas the girl who needs protection from the guy cause she's all scaredy gets close to him at first but he usually ends up with the one behind the scenes who's more brave is that the word i'm looking for? Well at least that's how it is in most mangas i've read. But that's just filler for this post. I do agree that you need to be more careful when you're posting though. Something like that should be edited into the first. Don't worry if it won't jump the thread to the top people will see it eventually or are you deviously trying to get more posts mwahahaha. jk. I'm sure it was just carelessness. bigrazz

Yeah, it pretty much was carelessness smile Sorry! I'll be sure to remember that next time! eyes

But how exactly would I conquer those fears? confused I mean, "facing them" already didn't work and I've never really heard of any other [sane] methods of ridding yourself of your fears. I don't think it's really that easy. Just today, I went to this store with fish and the second I spotted a dead one, I was running and squealing into the next aisle. I know it's a mental sort of thing, but I think I'd rather be scared of dead fish than try to stare at one for longer then a few seconds and try to "conquer" it. I might just end up traumatizing myself even more! It's not like [most of] these fears are really hurting anyone laugh [except for myself, of course roll eyes ]

I didn't say I dislike doctors! I actually like them a lot... I just think that it's not necessary to go to one for every little thing. The human body can handle most things on his own. Excessive medication is what leads to Antibiotic resistance (lol it was hard to find the name in English So i'm proud to show the link)

oh and @otakubaybay, I didn't really say to conquer your fears, just to get over them somehow. I mean you can't totally rid yourself of a phobia (imo), but you can try to suppress it to a "normal" level. I mean you'd still be scared of dead fish, you just wouldn't run around squealing anymore when you spot one. (lol that should have been hilarious to see)
Of course it isn't easy, but with the number of fears you have... that would probably make your life a bit easier after that, if you succeed. And I don't think staring at dead fish is going to help... You need to rationalize your fear. Try to understand it, trace it back to it's roots and maybe you'd be able to overcome the exaggerated part of the fear. I seriously can't help you much on this subject though.
