Fright Night and The Change Up.
Both were surprisingly good, especially the latter since I expected a knock off of Freaky Friday. Never seen the original Fright Night dead
For those of you as poor as me...

X-Men: First Class.

Pretty damn good! As good as I was hoping, but I had a few issues.

For one, some of the characters like Havok, Banshee, Angel and Darwin were utterly pointless within the context of the movie. Other than to please X-Fans and to show off some cool effects. Also, Mystique was a bit confusing for me. I didn't QUITE buy into her character in this movie. It would have helped if they had shown us her experiencing some real prejudicial hardships rather than just her saying she had. The reason why I could buy into Erik's character was because they showed us some of what happened rather than just said. It also seemed like they kinda ran out of time in developing Beast's character. I mean, it started off good with him ashamed of his mutation and wanting to be normal, but then once he became even further from normal it didn't show his internal struggles with it and him having to come to grips with it. It was like they ran out of time or something.

This was a great film though. The pacing, the writing, the direction and MY GOD the acting. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence were incredible (McAvoy and Fassbender especially) and Nicholas Hoult was really good too despite my issue with his development. Kevin Bacon's performance was a pleasant surprise. I've always liked him so I'm glad he finally got to show off a bit and show people what he's capable of. Great movie though, easily my favorite X movie so far next to Wolverine. LOL. Yeah, RIIIIIIGGGGHHHTTTT.

It is my favorite of the though in all seriousness.

National Security. I watched it once a few years ago, and saw a bit of it today before going out.

There are some priceless moments in this movie, like....

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When the guy gets sent to prison, and he punches the prison guard to be sent to solitary.

Also, this one line (paraphrased):
"I'm against interracial couples when the GUY is white."

This movie is best watched with an open mind.

Rio: So cute. Love that 'I wanna party' song.
Emperor's New Groove: Haven't seen it in ages. Still so funny and under rated.
The Orphanage: Not as great as I hoped it to be, but still enjoyable.

Really want to see Insidious next.

The ending of that film broke my heart.

Anyway, I watched Captain America. I don't know why but I found it really mediocre. I liked Thor more than that but still not particularly fond of either of them, and I love superhero movies...

I had a little movie night yesterday with my frinds, and there are two movies I find good and interesting, first: Mambo Italiano - funny comedy and new Jane Eyer - little dark, but so far the best movie version I saw... not saying best version ever, bc the book is the best, right? biggrin

G.I Joe - Rise of the Cobra.
It was bad, yet still somewhat enjoyable I suppose.

Friends with Benefits. Watched it for the sole purpose of seeing Mila Kunis. Mission accomplished.

P.S. She was just as attractive as I thought she'd be. Better yet, her character has an entertaining personality too.

Gattaca. It was one of the best movies I've watched. I still can't accept the way it ended though... ;_;
