Something I've always wondered, (I'm sorry if it's already been suggested)
How much Japanese (or other original language) do you like in the story?
only read stories in their original language.
None at all.
Just sound effects.
occasional words are ok (bento, etc.)
just the stuff that doesn't translate well, like honorifics.
As much as possible without being unreadable.

Hope that makes sense!

Ya, makes sense

Feel like this is something thats been up before but here goes,
Having watched/read the novel, manga and the anime which one do you usually prefer?

- Anime -
- Manga -
- Novel -

I predicted manga would win, it would be interesting to see the exact ratio (novel for me).

Would/ Did you give up Anime/Manga for lent?

Yes, I gave it up for lent.
Yes, I gave it up, but it's really difficult! I'm probably going to end up reading it anyway.
No, I didn't. It's too difficult to even try doing it!
Maybe, I just didn't think about it. Perhaps next year.
I don't celebrate lent, but if I did I probably would.
I don't celebrate lent, but if I did I still wouldn't.
What's Lent?

manga/anime fully based on games:
-they just ruin the real story on the game (then why did you read them??)
-no they're not. they made the real story become more interesting (you just like to know how the games end coz you suck at playing them.)
-i like my villain killed in a certain ways and watch my hero die in many ways (you're playing it too many)

you don't understand what i'm talking about? very well. i'll make it a simple poll.....

what is your oppinion toward mangas/animes that are fully based on games (emphasizing on 'fully based')
-read/watch em but don't like em
-read/watch em and like em
-never read/watch em and not interested

How did you react, when you heard about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan?

- I was shocked.
- I was in panic.
- I was worried about the victims.
- I was confused, and could believe it.
- I've thought something like this would happen someday, but not so early or in a large scale.
- I cried and thought about the victims.
- I don't believe it first.
- It did nothing
- This is law of nature.

I've been thinking about special editions lately, so here goes nothing. I'm not so great at thinking of answers, so feel free to change them.
Do you buy special editions of series?

Only if I really love the series
Yes, because it's fancy (AKA just because)
Yes, for the collector's value
Only if it's got special features to make it worth it (all color, etc.)
I would if they weren't so much more expensive (than the regular edition)
No, I don't care about that stuff--the regular tankoubon is good enough
No, I don't buy manga

I like this poll idea, and I love special editions and omnibuses. There should probably be another option at the top though, for people who would buy a special edition just because it's a special edition (and not specifically for collector value) like I sometimes do.

Seriously, the only reason I bought Battle Royale was because it was hardcover *drools*.

A possible Poll: "Do you read Fanfictions of the Manga/Anime you like?"
Possible Answers could be "Yes, I always look for new ones","Yes, sometimes", "No", "I would, but there are no good ones for my favourite Series", "What are Fanfictions?",....

How about a poll along the lines of: "How do you feel about the redrawing of covers for older manga?" How they are putting newly drawn covers on manga from the nighties?
Possible answers:
I choose manga mostly for the story.
Doesn't matter
False advertising!
