James Brown War what is it good for
lol, good song, James Brown is a music genius. But you have to be careful where you sing it. One time I was humming it, and some military dude got upset and I thought I was going to get beat up again.
well i can understand cause it is an ignorant song but i think that song is hilarious to me
That's not by James Brown
It's by a band called War.
no its james brown
sample of the song im talking about :War! huh-yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! huh-yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again y'all
@rob1988
its in humans nature to fight
theres always been war and its never gona stop happening
According to wikipedia, that song was first recorded by The Temptations and the most well known version by Edwin Starr. So in other words, you're both wrong.
On topic, my current "cheer up" song is "Constructive Summer" by The Hold Steady, followed closely by "I Don't Want to Die (in the Hospital)" off of the new Conor Oberst album.
did you check the lyrics?..i googled james brown and the song it showed up with the lyrics and its the song i have on my mp3 and it could be a different song or someone could have changed it you can change things on wiki
here are the lyrics to the Edwin Starr song. Pretty sure it's the same song.
James Brown might have covered the song as far as I know (don't even really care for the song myself), but he is not the original artist or the recorder of the most well known version.
And you're right, wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, but usually most things on there are at least partly true.
