Recently rented out and watched the following over the past week (what better a way to spend my holidays! biggrin);

Welcome To Dongmakgol (absolutely fantastic in every aspect, really convincing acting and some beautiful serene cinematography)
Falling Down (chilling interactions and Douglas' motive and persistence was interesting, but a let-down of a finale)
The Darjeeling Limited (engrossing and multi-layered stuff, love the unconventional approach to it all)
Jacob's Ladder (the nightmare sequences and sense of claustrophobia were remarkable, as was the twist ending)

Saw Kickass in the cinema over the weekend too, and it surpassed my expectations by miles! Really over the top and inspiringly gritty. Avoids standard action film cliches and more than once took me by suprise. Good acting (especially the adorable Chloe Moretz!) to boot.
Unfortunately didn't get to read the comic beforehand, but I'm dying to get my hands on it now.

A Prophet

Best movie to come out in several years (2009 French release; 2010 in the states); a crime drama that deserves a seat right next to The Godfather

Okay, If I had to pick a numero uno of my favorite movies, it would have to be The Mummy. Why? I have no clue, I guess I was just obsessed as a kid and it just stuck...

Other favorites include the old star war trilogy, willow, stargate(huge fan of the series as well), indiana jones trilogy, and most (if not all) of tim burtons movies.

5 star acting, and a good story...not good for short attention spans though.

He Was Cool, based on the webstory by Guiyeoni. I really don't get why her name's GUI Yeoni on mangafox, since it's a penname not a real name.
